The location of the property is great, and the staff were all lovely. Breakfast and the evening meal
was plentiful and delicious, the dining room was cheerful and looked out onto a lovely garden.
It does feel as though it is still being developed but although it is trying to retain its character some aspects do feel tired. Our mattress sagged at one side and it was difficult to sleep as there was only one curtain at the windows, not the pair needed to block out the light that kept coming on during the night.

The staff and owner were top notch. Room and bathroom was newly refinished and immaculate. Grounds were off the chart beautiful. And the restaurant was exceptional - best squash risotto I've ever had. They even had a spa, with we didn't use.
Having to leave. We stayed at 7 different hotels and this was hands down the best.

Charming building, fine location. Pleasant bedroom.
Expensive for what we experienced, but very capable of becoming excellent. Felt a bit like a work in progress. The food was indifferent, the service likewise - charming and helpful young waitress, but knew little about the menu and nothing about the drink, so could not advise. Limited and unadventurous evening menu, excellent breakfast. The public rooms were great and the bedroom good, but the bathroom was poorly lit and the water pressure unacceptably low for the shower.
