Nothing to dislike but beware that the reception is only open a couple of hours a day. No tea/coffee making facilities but that is not unusual in Spain

Overall good.

I enjoyed the fact that the listing was in a good location. 8-10min walk from metro station. When we arrived there was a gutter smell, the window was open. It seems like this smell was in the area and not just the room. Either way we closed the bathroom door and kept the window open and eventually the smell dissipated. The host was ver helpful and answered to my questions whenever needed. We also left our bags at the reception on our last day so that we didn't have to carry them around all day, this was after the check-out so it was very nice that the host provided this service to us without any extra cost. The place was apparently clean, the bathrooms needs a little maintenance but nothing special. The listing shows as soundproof however we could easily hear the next room noises (people talking loud, going to the bathroom, etc.) Overall it was a good experience and the price was way lower than any other place in the same area. Loved the staff.

was abit shocked on arrival however we compromised with the receptionist to have a room change and after that it was a g

good location, the rooms are okay.

Not what I expected, just a door on the street which leads into an empty hallway that isn’t very welcoming. Nothing that stands out to say it’s a Hostal just a floor in a block of flats. It’s good when you are actually in the Hostal but the building that it’s in is really run down and smells of cigarette smoke.

Location is fine, but street is super noisy because of traffic. Take your ear-plugs Bathroom is spacey enough, has good installation and water pressure.

Attention - mattress is good only for one person, very soft > choose twin beds or will slide to each other whole night

Exceptional

A very nice and cozy room! We had a room with balcony. The receptionists were very polite and hospitable. The position of the hostal bcn is perfect, a few walk in casa battlo and near the straight street of la rambla!

Friendly staff, they changed our initial room which had very bad canalization smell in all the room. comfortable bed

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally quiet although it was right by the street. The bed was comfy. The elevator and the building was really cute.

Not that clean...no real duvet. Facilities need a bit more care and fix.

Very confusing check-in process with no one at the lobby to help

Great location and room was clean.

No way to get in the building even with the keys they give you, you are pretty much locked out unless someone opens the door from the inside. Very confusing check-in process with no instructions. The number they give is an automated message that is spoken in Spanish so good luck trying to figure out how this hostal works. I had to call booking.com to get them to contact the place to open the door for me. And the reception lady was annoyed at me for some reason as if it was somehow my fault that I couldn't teleport through the door. I wouldn't recommend and just find a regular hotel nearby or another hostal. Also the room I stayed at was pretty depressing with no windows.

Location. Bathroom. Flat tv. Air condition is perfect.

The room is too small. We have no window in our room despite we told the hotel that our room have a window and they confirmed to us that. No 24 h front desk reception.

Very good

The staff is kind enough to let us keep our bags at 8 am after we arrived via midnight flight from Marrakech. Respond to our WhatsApp and guide us how to enter the building. The room was spacious and clean.
