We arrived on the property it about 8:30pm when entering noticed an unpleasant odor. After unloading and looking for the smell we found it was the mop and bucket in the pantry area and quickly put it outside. We began to enter into our rooms for the night we noticed there was not a kingsize bed (this was part of our preferences in the filter). There was also not a functional sofa bed or sofa for that matter. The sofa bed was broken and therefore no support for the sofa to even sit on. I quickly contacted the owner and he was aware of the sofa bed and tried to reach out to me however, I had no service. In the notice however, there was no indication the sofa was unusable so I let him know this as well as the king size bed issue. This is now only able to sleep 4 of my party of 5! My brother and his child had to rent a hotel for the rest of our stay! Owner was aware and offered on change or discount to offset my extra expenses. The AC was auto set to change to 76 or 78 degreese every 2 hours after being lowered and the ceiling fan in one bedroom didn't work, it was very hot. My husband and I could not sleep in the same bed, he has PTSD and moves uncontrollably so we have a body pillow between us at night ( hence the king bed request) and it was so hot we couldn't stand it. While trying to get the sofa to a usable state we noticed the filth in the sofabed area and it is a pet friendly home so decided to vacuum no big deal right. The vacuum was so clogged with hair at would not pick up anything and the canister was full! Ok so got some gloves and a pair of scissors and my husband cleaned the rollers to be able to use the vacuum which filled another canister full. The sofa was a no fixer just fell into the back every time we tried to sit on it, so only sat on chairs or edge of sofa. The utensils had hair in the holders with them and the coffee pot still had the last bit of coffee in it ( like it was poured out but not washed out). We loaded the diahwasher with all the dishes we would be using and put all others in a bottom cabinet. There are instructions to not washed the acrylic glasses in the dishwasher?? This was the only glasses there. In the post COVID time why would a place open to public and claims to disinfect not put glasses in the dishwasher to sanitize? Maybe provide disposable or just get glass. Towels were still damp and smelled. Took lots of pics before and after.
