The staff were very friendly. After the second night of being awakened by a train twice a night, the gave us a room in the front of the hotel. Although you could still hear the train the move dampened the noise considerably. The breakfast was ample and good with a variety of hot/cold items. The lobby was very clean as the dining area which is right off the main lobby.
The twice a night awakening by the train. The railroad tracks are right behind the hotel. On the second day of our stay we returned in the afternoon after hiking in the Garden of the God's, it was very hot and we were looking forward to swimming in the outdoor pool. When we got to the pool the water was dirty and green and obviously had not been used in some time. When we went to the Main Desk to we were told they didn't know what was wrong with it and told us to go up the street to the Holiday Inn as they are part of the same ownership and we could us their indoor pool. A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT AND INCONVENIENCE. Nightly there would be people outside the front door smoking marijuana and occasionally you could smell it in the Inn.
