Located in Lugano, this lovely house for $101 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Casa Rosabella is situated in Italy near the cosmopolitan Swiss city of Lugano, which is just a 15-20 minute’s drive away. It is ideally suited for guests who wish to explore the attractions on both Lake Como and Lake Lugano, as Lake Como is a 30 minute panoramic drive away, accessible by car or bus. Casa Rosabella is a renovated home of 70 square meters (750 square feet) on two floors. The house has all modern comforts yet retains aspects of its original antique charm with touches like the floor of 'cotto antico'. The upper floor is open plan, with a fully equipped modern kitchen, a dining area seating 6, and living area with a sofa, armchair, wifi internet connection and flat screen TV with satellite. The sofa can also be adapted to a very comfortable sofa bed for 2 people, if required. The ground floor consists of a spacious bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, and a modern bathroom with shower. There is also a garden area where one can relax outdoors or eat while enjoying the view of the lake, and the pre-alps with lush vegetation. Free public parking is available a short walk away. The house is very sunny and boasts an incredible lake view.

Breath taking water views from our windows!
Molly & Giovanni were so gracious and kind, & went above and beyond to make our stay the absolute best it could be! The apartment is perfect, and everything is there to cook, or enjoy a glass of wine out in the serene garden overlooking Lake Lugano. Fresh lavender , roses and sage surround you! Very relaxing after a day of exploring. Molly promptly responds, and always had a helpful suggestion to make our trip better.

One of the Best Trips of My lfe!!
I can’t even describe how beautiful Casa Rosabella is and what a wonderful experience I had there. It is the perfect Italian place in the heart of Albogasio-Oria, with breathtaking views of the pre alps and lake Lugano right from your window, spotless clean place with everything you’d need during your stay, with even an emergency pasta kit in your pantry, can’t get more Italian than that! And the garden, omg the garden was just the cherry on top.
And Molly ❤️ Molly was a real super host, her attention to details is remarkable and you’ll notice that the moment you set foot at Casa Rosabella, and you’ll get a binder with all the information you’d need on the nearby attractions, museums, places to swim and much more. She was also kind enough to pick me up from the bus stop and show me around the area and make sure I knew where the local bar and grocery store are and came to my rescue many times when I couldn’t figure out the bus schedule 😅
It’s not a touristy area which makes it perfect for anyone who’s looking for a peaceful getaway engulfed by the magnificence of Italian nature and history.

We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay! Even though there is already a beautiful lake literally just infront of the holiday home it is also just a short drive to visit more beautiful area's, or even to further explore the lugano lake. You won't be dissapointed.

We werden gastvrij en enthousiast ontvangen door Molly. Molly gaf ons waardevolle tips en adviezen over de omgeving.
In het huis ontbreekt het aan niets en het uitzicht over het meer is fantastisch. De tuin heeft zowel zon- als schaduwplekken en het is er heerlijk toeven.
De omgeving is wérkelijk sprookjesachtig mooi!

Albogasio
Die Anreise war sehr gut vorbereitet wir haben die Ferienwohnung sofort gefunden, die Lage mit dem Blick auf den Luganer See wirklich sehenswert. Die Wohnung ist wie auf den Photos dargestellt, aber über der Ferienwohnung (auf den Photos nicht sichtbar)ist noch ein Stockwerk mit einem Wohnzimmer vom Nachbarhaus, da kann es laut werden. Die Wohnung riecht ausserdem im Untergeschoss muffig und nach Rauch. Wir haben die Vermieter beim einchecken getroffen, da wollten wir mit Ihnen gleich die Formalitäten erledigen, es fällt eine Tax an die sollte noch bezahlt werden, aber sie hatten keine Zeit. Sie meinten nächste Woche ist ausreichend, für uns ok. Am nächsten Tag haben sie uns dreimal per WhatsApp angeschrieben sie brauchen dringend die Unterlagen. Da wir unterwegs waren und Programm geplant hatten kam es sehr ungelegen. Am nächsten Morgen haben sie in der Früh geklingelt und wollten alles erledigen. Wir haben uns dadurch gestört gefühlt.

Definitely recommended.
After my parents had to decline the vacation unexpectedly six days before it was to begin, I went to Italy with a friend instead. Molly was absolutely lovely about it and there was no problem at all with such a big change.
The house itself is a bit hard to find since there are no obvious street signs leading to it, though once you are shown where it is you won't have problems finding it again. Parking nearby is always possible.
Casa Rosabella is small but beautiful and it is evident the homeowners have put much thought into making every stay there as pleasant as possible. There are sewing supplies in tge bathroom, multinational books to read, and a whole file of things to do and where to eat.
There's also a garden where you're allowed to gather herbs for cooking purposes. You can also sit and relax there, but we tried it once and never again after we were eaten by mosquitoes, so bring good repellant if you're planning on spending the evenings there.
There isn't a terrible lot of those things to do in Albogasio itself except for walking stairs up and down, but Milano and Como are relatively nearby and there are some beautiful churches hidden in the vicinity. Besides, the view more than makes up for it, from literally every room of the house except the bathroom there is a window looking out to the lake. We didn't have the best weather, but it was breathtaking nonetheless.
As other reviewers have said, grocery shopping opportunities are relatively near by, around twenty minutes by car.
All in all, we loved it here. If you're looking for a place to party, this probably isn't for you, but whether you're looking for an adventure in the winding streets of Albogasio or whether you're looking for a place to relax, this might be just ideal.

Tolles kleines Häuschen
Ein sehr schönes kleines Häuschen direkt am See, sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Es war sehr sauber, und nach einer Woche bekamen wir sogar neue Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Molly und Giovanni waren sehr nette und zuvorkommende Vermieter.

Authentisches Haus in herrlicher Lage mit großartigem Ausblick
Schon die präzise Wegbeschreibung der Vermieterin erleichterte die Anreise. Hier trafen wir auf das sehr sympathische Vermieterpaar, das uns wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen, Restaurants, Einkauf etc.gab. Das Haus ist authentisch und individuell saniert, die Ausstattung ist modern und vollständig. Zum Haus gehört ein großer liebevoll gestalteter Garten. Sowohl von dort, als auch vom Haus aus, hat man einen eindrucksvollen Blick auf den Luganer See. Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Vermieterin freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sie informiert sich über Ihre Gäste und gibt Ihnen tipps und Tricks für Ausflüge und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Haus ist klein aber kuschelig, bietet alles was man braucht. Vom Erdgeschoss als auch vom Obergeschoß hatte man einen schönen Blick auf den Luganer See. Auch die Ausstattung des Hauses ist Komfortabel. Empfehlenswert!

Kleines Glück am See
Theoretisch könnte man den ganzen Tag am Fenster stehen und aufs Wasser des Luganer Sees schauen. Was für eine Aussicht! Was für ein Licht! Man könnte glücklich nach Hause fahren. Das haben wir nicht gemacht, glücklich nach Hause sind wir trotzdem gefahren. Das kleine Haus von Molly und Giovanni ist wunderbar, beide sind tolle Gastgeber, freundlich, zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Wir haben das Haus sehr kurzfristig gebucht. Das war kein Problem und der Kontakt bis zur Anreise schnell und hilfreich. Vor Ort bekamen wir jederzeit Hilfe, wenn wir sie brauchten. Wir haben uns in den 5 Tagen, die wir dort verbrachten, sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Besonders mochten wir die entspannte, unaufgeregte Atmosphäre in den kleinen Orten entlang der Küstenlinie.
Im Haus gibt es nicht nur W-Lan auf dem Papier, sondern es funktioniert tatsächlich zuverlässig. Das haben wir schon oft anders erlebt, deswegen weise ich extra darauf hin. Unbedingt sollte man den etwas höher gelegenen Ort Castello besuchen, ein fantastisch verwinkeltes Auf und Ab kleiner Häuser, aus dem man ganz überraschend ins Hinterland geführt wird. Wir hätten gern mehr Zeit gehabt und haben schon einiges auf der Wunschliste für die nächste Reise.

Ideal zum Erholen
Das Haus von Molly und Giovanni ist sehr gemütlich, sehr sauber und bietet alles was man zu einem entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Der Blick auf den See ist einfach nur traumhaft. Der Garten ist ein paar Schritte vom Haus entfernt, aber daran hat man sich schnell gewöhnt. Dafür bietet er alles was man benötigt um einfach einmal die Beine hoch zu legen.
Allerdings ist der Weg zum Bäcker schon etwas mühsamer und ersetzt beim Treppensteigen auf jeden Fall jedes andere morgendliche Workout. Will man mal Essen gehen oder auch einkaufen, ist man auf das Auto angewiesen und muss die engen Straßen nach Porlezza fahren. Viele Restaurants hatten jetzt im Herbst geschlossen, so daß oftmals nur die sehr touristisch geprägten Restaurants geöffnet waren.
Möchte man Wanderungen vornehmen, geht das direkt vom Haus aus. Für alles andere muss man eine Anfahrt in Kauf nehmen. Entgegen anfänglicher Befürchtungen haben wir aber immer einen Parkplatz in der Nähe gefunden.
Wir danken Molly und Giovanni für Ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Das Haus können wir weiter empfehlen. Lediglich bei der Lage muss man genau wissen, was man in seinem Urlaub unternehmen möchte.

Ein traumhaftes "zu Hause" für 2 Wochen
Jeden Morgen begrüßte uns der See, wenn wir aus dem Fenster schauten und jeden Morgen begeisterte uns dieser Anblick wieder. Das Haus ist liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und entspricht höchsten Ansprüchen. Es liegt in einem typischen alten Dorf mit viel italienischem Flair und direktem Zugang zum See. Allerdings überlegt man sich das abendliche Bad gut, wenn man danach an den Treppen-Aufstieg denkt. Man kann direkt vom Dorf aus in die Berge wandern und tolle Touren machen oder aber an der nahen Badestelle im Fluss baden und sich auf den Steinen sonnen. In 15 Minuten ist man in Lugano und in einer halben Stunde am Comer-See mit all seinen touristischen Angeboten. Wir aber haben es genossen, jeden Abend in "unser" Haus zurückzukommen und im Garten oder auf dem Steg am See den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen, begleitet von den italienischen Klängen des Dorfes. Viel zu unserem Wohlgefühl haben die Vermieter, Molly und Giovanni, beigetragen, die so herzlich und offen sind, dass man sich willkommen fühlt. Tante Grazie nochmals an euch, Molly und Giovanni, für die schöne Zeit und hoffentlich ein Wiedersehen beim nächsten Mal!!

Une vue magnifique et maison au calme !
Lieu très reposant avec une vue splendide sur le lac à 10 Km de Lugano. Petite maison très propre et confortable avec WIFI. Le jardin est indépendant de la maison et l'accès de la maison n'est pas recommandé aux personnes âgées. Pour les courses, il faut obligatoirement prendre la voiture. Les propriétaires sont charmants.

Overwhelmed by the hospitality
What more can I say about Molly and Giovanni and the nice house? Like all the other guests before us, we were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the two and the cute, sweet and clean house.
We got a lot of good tips and they were always open for questions. Very warmly! Thanks again for the cookies :)
The house is well furnished and in a very good condition. We were here with 2 children (7 and 10) and left the bedroom to the boys and slept on the new sofa bed ourselves. That worked great.
The house is probably best suited for 2-3 persons.
You have to know that Albogasio Superiore is not really well connected to the infrastructure and therefore dependent on its own car. There is a small shop at the lake, which is run by an older friendly gentleman and you can get everything in small quantities. To the shop there are about 400 steep steps to the lake. But it is feasible. The next bigger shopping opportunity is in Porlezza. There are big supermarkets open 24/7, which is a bit bizarre in this dreamy area.

Sehr gepflegtes,wunderschön gelegenes Feriendomizil mit sehr guter Ausstattung.
Sofort nach der Ankunft fühlte man sich zuhause und entspannt.
Die sehr freundlichen und stets hilfsbereiten Vermieter waren in der Nachbarschaft erreichbar.
Das alte Haus wurde umfangreich saniert und modernisiert.Es liegt in einem Dorf an einer relativ steilen Bergwand. Die Häuser dort sind nebeneinander und ineinander verschachtelt und im Ort gibt es ein Labyrinth von Gässchen und Stufen. Im Haus selbst empfindet man jedoch die Nähe der Häuser kaum, man fühlt sich wie in einem Turm mit spektakulärer
Aussicht auf den Luganer See.
Im Ort ist es sehr ruhig.
Man kann direkt von dort schöne Wanderungen unternehmen oder sich einfach im hübschen Gärtchen aufhalten.
Auch die nähere Umgebung bietet einiges Sehenswerte.
Ein ideales Ferienhaus für Menschen, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen.

Clean and welcoming home in the heart of an Italian village
Molly and Giovanni couldn't have been more welcoming, both before and during our stay. We felt they were interested in us as people, rather than merely customers or guests. The property was very clean and had a comfortable bed. There are views of the lake both from the property and the nearby garden. We felt at home from the moment we had unpacked, and started to relax immediately. The property is well located in the centre of a friendly village and is close to some wonderful walks. There is an excellent hypermarket at Porlezza, about 15 minutes away by car. Being able to walk to and swim in the lake was an unexpected bonus. Despite being in the centre of a lively village we were only disturbed by noise on one night, and that was by a massive and spectacular thunderstorm over the lake! The village is on a steep hillside and the property is only accessible on foot, about 50 steps down from the parking. Not a problem for us, but important to be aware if you have mobility problems. Also, don't make the mistake we did by only taking Euros. The property is only a mile or so from the Swiss border and if you want to visit anywhere in Switzerland you will at the very least need some Swiss franc coins for parking. Having said that, the petrol stations just before crossing into Italy were happy to exchange Euros although presumably not at a brilliant rate.

Die Ferienwohnung besticht vor allem durch einen fantastischen Blick auf den See vom Garten aber auch von der Küche/ Wohnzimmer aus. Molly und Giovanni sind immer nett und hilfsbereit und haben einige gute Tipps parat. Die Wohnung ist in renoviertem Zustand, in der Küche findet man alles, was man braucht. Wasch- und Spülmaschine sind vorhanden. Schlafzimmer ist kühl. Der Garten (ca. 10 m weg) lädt zum abendlichen Entspannen mit Seeblick ein. Wir durften uns sogar am Gemüse bedienen. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig. Die Straße endet im Ort dahinter, also kein Durchgangsverkehr. Von der Straße zur Ferienwohnung sind es nicht allzu viele Treppen. Parkplatz findet man trotz anfänglicher Skepsis immer in der Nähe. Einkaufen: Der Iperal-Supermarkt in Porlezza oder kleine Läden im Dorf unten oder in Cima. Wer lieber abseits des Touristenrummels wohnt, ist hier richtig. Ideale Lage für die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend.

What is there not to like about Molly & Giovanni’s Casa Rosabella accommodation? My husband and I spent a week there in July/August of this year and we thought we were in heaven! After a very warm welcome from Molly & Giovanni we were shown the accommodation which is in the most idyllic location in the quiet medieval hillside village of Albogasio Superiore. Out of the lounge, dining and bedroom windows of Casa Rosabella are the most amazing, picture postcard perfect views of Lake Lugano and its surrounding mountains. The house itself was better than spotless and very well maintained with the loveliest décor and little touches that made us feel right at home. Everything had been thought of. The property also included a garden area which is most unusual in hillside villages and it was just lovely sitting having a glass of wine, chilling out and taking in the amazing view after a hectic day of sightseeing,. The locals also were very friendly toward us and the village store owner even tried to teach my husband Italian in the short space of time that we were there!
Excellent customer service was provided by Molly before and during our stay answering my many questions. Believe me, I had quite a few! One time, Molly and I had a discussion about the best gelato in the world. She pointed me in the direction of her favourite gelataria and Molly you were right……It was amazing! Molly and Giovanni, we cannot speak highly enough of you both and your property and we give you 6 out of 5 stars and thank you both for sharing your part of the world with us. Bellissimo!
