Just wasn’t impressed. Bed uncomfortable. Does no good to request later check out when the noise is so loud in the hall and vacuum hitting the door. I guess the positive is that it is close to the airport if that is what your looking for.

Hotel was clean. Had everything you needed for a trip away from home. Central location. Restaurant was really good and prices were good as well. Will stay again.

I was here for several nights on a business trip and the location was located conveniently to my work. The lobby
is filled with art and taxidermy that reflect Alaska. The room was spacious well-appointed and very clean. The common areas (corridors) show wear and tear and are due for an upgrade. The registration desk was very busy when I checked in. I had a seemingly new staff member check me in and she failed to tell me that I could have received a free bottle of water and charged me for a bottle from the shop instead. She also didn't tell me about the food credit that was part of the "resort" fee- which I didn't discover until my last day of stay. Other staff interactions were great including at the restaurant.

The hotel is close to the airport making it convenient, however it hasn’t been updated in quite a while. The window in my room didn’t just properly causing me side of the room to be colder than the other. I’m sure they would have fixed it but I didn’t discover the problem until late in my stay. The room was clean but very old furnishings. The bathroom was a shower tub combo, which was small and awkward to stand in. The staff were friendly and professional.

We stay here on our trips to Anchorage because of the convenience in getting to and from the airport. The restaurant is good and have always had a good experience with staff. The hotel could use some room renovations, upgrades to their television service and some better mattresses.

Your sales personnel told me that they could accommodate a meeting room for September then 3 days later, after I told BBNA that everything was ready for the final set up, they said they made a mistake and they didn’t have any room. To me that sales person should be terminated.

I have medicine that needs to be in a fridge.
The fridge was not working I asked for a working fridge and waited over an hour and asked again for help and 45 minutes later maintenance showed up. He checked the fridge and found it not working.
An hour later I had to ask again for a fridge or make some arrangement to store medicine in restaurant fridge.
I finally got a working fridge.

Great property with proximity to ANC. Attentive, friendly staff. Good food options also.

My biggest complaint was the airport van service, I had to wait half an hour for him to show up after I called them, and then this morning was told he was leaving at 7:30, which gave me 10 minutes for breakfast and he did not show until 8 a.m. I could have finished the breakfast and coffee.
Little things like that can get frustrating. And the long walk down the hallway to my room 1045, was also almost too much for an 87 year old. Will I book again, probably not.

The breakfast is amazing!

Unfortunately from the outset our stay was substandard. On checking in later at night we were not greeted, the receptionist only gave one room instead of two, then on split floors when we were a family. I had to ask to be put together. Never explained resort fee, where our room was, the vouchers with the room key which we found just before we left, never gave us water which we should have been given.
Don't expect your room to be serviced because unless you request it then it doesn't happen. That wasn't explained either.
So the resort fee which is a hidden cost gives you absolutely nothing but charges you over $20 US.a day per room. In NZ this is illegal. What you quote is the cost .
Rooms are run down. Staff are rude and dismissive. The food in the restaurant was great and service was ok in there but the front of house needs a serious makeover. The word hospitality isn't something they are aware of and it badly reflects on the hotel and Anchorage. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel. It charges additional costs without explanation while providing nothing for it.

We were charged $179 additional for “resort fees.” We prepaid for the room, and were not informed by Expedia that we would have to pay additional fees at checkout.

We were very disappointed because we paid for king mattress and the mattress sizes are not truly king size.

The room is dirty. The tub is slimy and yellowed. The sink is blocked. The coffee maker is also dirty.

This hotel is beautifully situated, and convenient to the airport with a 24 hour airport shuttle.
We arrived New years eve (after midnight) our driver was kind and helpful. We had no problems checking in.
This hotel does charge a resort fee, with that you get free Wifi, and 10 off a breakfast.
This is one of my favorite venues to stay at, love the lobby..very Alaskan, but I will say that over the years the room have become a little worn. They need a little updating and freshening up.

Friendly check-in. Room request was honored. Free breakfast vouchers were received

Very dated property. Great place to stay if you want to make use of the restaurant/bar and a timely shuttle schedule as it is accessible to the airport and other places. The rooms are huge but bed isnt comfortable, sheets are very thin, and pillows flatten until they are like resting your head on a book. The room wndow A/C works but the secondary fan is just stale warm air. Shower head was full of calcium deposits so the water sprayed in different directions. Shower curtain was old and thin. The worst aspect of the stay was the absolutely horrible customer service (except for the housekeepers, they were friendly and helpful). Check-in system is automated and filled with ads for you to buy stuff. All guests are supposed to receive two free bottles of water and $10 daily coupon to restaurants... they didnt have free bottled water but had bottled water you could buy (go figure)... check-in agent assured us that we received a deal by getting the $10 daily credit and no water (which makes no sense). Had to argue with him to get the free breakfast that was listed on our hotels.com receipt. Breakfast is one free entree and drink... great food by the way! Check-out agent acted like she could not be bothered with helping us in the slightest. The only words she said were "you can put your key in the container". I would highly recommend the staff receive better customer service training! Will not stay again as there are cheaper, more comfortable, and more friendly hotels to stay at.

Everyone was real helpful, both restaurants where great, I love that it had a shuttle running 24/7 on the half hour to the airport it really helped when I ran into problems with my rental car.

I did not like the first 4 days of our stay as the heater was malfunctioning and loud. When we were moved to another room(no upgrade was offered for our inconvenience), the electricity totally went out on one side of the room. The Lakefront needs an update!!

After leaving for two weeks my truck was soaked with tons of snow. Your staff was helpful in gettintg me on the road including a jump to my dead truck...Thanks for the helpful staff and concern that I get on my way back to Valdez! The coffee was greatful and well timed to my needs.

The rooms could definitely be cleaned better. There was a film of dirt on every surface. The carpet doesn’t look like it’s been vacuumed in a while. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had never been to Alaska and the friendliness of staff matched the overall friendliness of Anchorage! We will be back

This used to be a very nice place under previous management. Now it's as nice as your average Motel 6. It looks old and dated. But my primary problem is the supposed "Resort" Fee. Nothing about the property is resort-like in any way. There is no avoiding the fee. No one ever said anything about it. I first heard about it when I saw it on my bill at check-out. It is supposed to cover things like free bottled water at check in, but they don't have any. It covers airport transportation that is free from EVERY other hotel, especially one advertised as an 'airport hotel'. It covers unsecured internet. EVERY other hotel offers secured internet for free. It also gives $10 off in their mediocre restaurant that isn't worth eating at in the first place. I got no discount the two times I ate there. So it is just a hidden and totally bogus fee with NO value. There are many places just as nice nearby that are a much better value when you include the hidden fee. I will never return to this hotel.

Always a good place to stay for overnights in Anchorage or if you are traveling with pets. Airport pickup is almost always quick and efficient.

I will never use Expedia again. My plane had mechanical problems so I was not going to make my connecting flight. I tried to cancel my hotel reservation. I talked to the hotel and they said sure no problem but they could not cancel cause I booked through Expedia. I tried to cancel online with no help tried calling the number and all you ever get is a recording. All I got from Expedia was a long run around will never use again.

We had to come to Anchorage for my husband’s doctors appointments. We live in Seward. This is the third time we’ve stayed here and we feel comfortable here. You have the best breakfast and included in the price of the room. Staff is great!!

I use to stay here all the time. All celebrities' would stay here when they would come to Anchorage. It was a classy place at one time but has gone down hill. I was shocked when I was told I had to pay a $22.00 resort fee. What a joke. This is not a resort. It is just a hotel. The service in the bar was great though. Julie was awesome. One of the better waitresses I have see. I'll visit the bar again but I will not stay here. The place is falling apart. The dining area was falling apart too when I stayed here last year. But a pipe broke over last winter so I am guessing insurance paid for the remodel. Breakfast menu was lame. Pretty much the buffet. And it not worth the price. I use to eat breakfast here for years four times a week. They had a good chicken fried steak. Not even on the menu. Go some where else to stay.

The hotel itself was okay. I feel like the pictures online give it more justice than it deserved. Having the shuttle was nice. The man driving the shuttle wasn’t very pleasant. Same with the staff. No one was helpful or informative. They do not offer any made services including towels, trash removal or making up the beds unless asked for 24 hours in advance. Overall is was a mediocre hotel at best. I’d probably stay somewhere else if given the chance to do over.
