One of the few hotels that doesn't have a noisy air conditioner in the room. The temperature control was very good, especially during the middle of winter. There were some typical hotel issues such as a leaking tap and typical wear and tear.

Floor was filthy, room was remodeled poorly holes in walls no covers on sprinklers. Was harrassed by night clerk regarding my service dog. He broke multiple laws and argued with me on definition of service animal. This after i explained all this at check in to the GM. Will not stay there again.

So happy with our quick ski stay! The gentleman who checked us in when we arrived Friday evening was super friendly and thorough explaining all the amenities at the hotel. The location of the hotel is great, our room was clean and even had a microwave and mini fridge which was a pleasant surprise ! We had the king which was nice to have a couch and table so we could eat our to go dinner in the room (but you could also eat at the breakfast area if you wanted) The lobby has tea and cookies throughout the day and having the free breakfast was amazing- even included eggs and bacon and those waffle machines! Also loved that there was covered parking included. We were very happy with our stay, as we had everything we needed and then some!

Parking garage makes this place extra convenient

Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was really good! Bus to the mountain is right across the street.

We paid top dollar over the winter break for a ski trip. The hotel is ok. It was clean but not great. They did the minimum on upgrading this older hotel. Looks like new flooring was put in the rooms but needs more refreshing. Our first room had no heat and a tv that didn’t work. Fortunately the man on the evening shift was very helpful & found a room for us. The carbon monoxide detector kept going off and we did not sleep very well. We tried to take the battery out of the detector but it wouldn’t budge.

Excellent service. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies available.
Room was cleaned every day. Skibus across the street. parking in garage.

We really like to stay here. Very clean, personnel was very nice, check-in very easy and the breakfast is pretty good. Definitely we will stay here again!

We didn’t expect a lot but this place couldn’t meet the bar. We walked into the room and it literally smelled like poop and gasoline. The paint in the shower and tub was peeling, and the property itself was rather run down. We also discovered that someone left the pilot light on for our wall heater and it was just leaking gas because it wasn’t lit. So that’s a safety issue. Pretty disappointed

Everything seems fine except this facility did not have air conditioning

It seems like everything in Mammoth is beat up and dated. The people are nice!

Nice!

The floor in our room was laminated and falling apart in so many areas it pinched my foot while I was barefoot!

This property needs complete renovation, seems to be right out of the 1980s. The price/value ratio is not good at all.

The CO/gas detector repeatedly went off during the night and I got very little sleep. When I told the front desk what was happening, the person told me that they have been having problems with these detectors and that they were looking to replace them. That didn’t help me after I’d paid $180 for the night so that I could try to get some sleep. They should have already been replaced if they were having issues with them.
Regarding the facilities, they were fine for the price, the hot tub was nice, and the staff was friendly. If I would have gotten some sleep, I would have given a better review.

This place is pretty sad and run down. Room walls had stains throughout, shower tub coating was peeling in several areas and the caulking around the tub needs to be reapplied, sink faucets clogged up with just water, lamp light bulbs were different colors, window’s seal was broken so it let in the cold which created a lot of condensation, hallway carpet was stained and fraying in many areas. Mattress was springy and bed frame creaked quite a bit. Room fridge knob was broken and set to freeze level so it froze our food, breakfast options were ok but the scrambled eggs were soupy each day. Place needs a serious remodel. Not worth the nightly rate I paid.

Room designed for winter guests (skiers, no carpet) but found it comfortable.

Have stayed t this property and it is a very consistent place to stay. They have recently refinished the rooms with flooring snd took out the old carpet, a plus for cleanliness. Check in was quick an efficient. Jacuzzi at this property is great, like a small pool. I see my self staying there again.

Convenient location. Very close to mammoth, 50 min drive from Yosemite. Great indoor jacuzzi, except it wasn’t working on our last night. Overall rooms and property in major need of maintenance. I would guess the owners don’t want to invest in proper maintenance improvements, considering everything is falling apart and taped together. But if you’re just looking for a bed in close proximity to the mountain this will do.

This place is a dump. The floor in the room was waterproof laminate laid over the old carpet. Don't walk on it barefooted. It will bite you. The TV remote would not work, you have to do everything manually on the TV itself. The room smelled like someone purposely dumped a bottle of air freshener on the floor to cover up the smell from the mold and mildew. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The spa is out of order for some days, but the web didn’t mention. We come because of the spa. So bad.
3.0
The floor tiles were loose. Our feet and toes got snagged on them. The shower water pressure was very poor and the bathtub finish was worn and needed to be repaired or replaced. The staff was helpful in re-establishing the tv modem. Only took about 30 minutes. They were very kind and respectful. It’s just our room needs to be updated and the floor needs to be replaced!

Front desk staff was pleasant and professional. That's about all the positive I can honestly share. Property looks very run down from the outside and the inside is no different. Very dirty and unkept. The upstairs tiled common area smelled like dirty mop water. Broken ceramic floor tiles create a trip hazard. The cheap laminate flooring in the room was lifting in various places. Someone used clear packing tape to tape it down. In some places it was a trip hazard and in a couple of places it would scratch bare feet. The "hot" breakfast was stone cold. The only open window in the dining/common are was propped open with an old piece of wood. Out this window you could see broken electrical conduit with exposed wiring. Waste water plumbing in underground parking area was leaking grey/black water onto the parking lot floor.

Our room number was 206 that we open with touch key open to hallway going to our room without lock and there was stairs going to fist floor that we found out manager living there. I could not really sleep all night because I was worried. Building is very old and flooring move everywhere you walk. I think they should pay you to stay there instead of charging 204 per night

I’m very upset about the price discrepancy i was given from hotels.com vs the property itself. Upon checking, our room was over $150 less through the property & i was very much overcharged through hotels.com.

Relatively inexpensive but needs refurbishing. Flooring warping in room so badly that we tripped several times. Coffee containers not kept hot. Breakfast limited to waffles and cereal no protein.

Good stay/ good staff, overall good stay...
If I can say anything negative, it is the fact that Quality Inn needs to repair Ice machine on 2nd floor.
I have stayed 3 times in the last few months and it is VERY inconvenient to have to go from 2nd floor to 1st floor for Ice
"I plan on visiting soon, it would be great to see repair"

The place is filthy and falling apart. I was traveling with my 80 year old mother. First off there is no air-conditioning, it was about 80°F outside but over 90°F inside the rooms and hallways. The floors were filthy. I took a shower then walked barefoot to the bed then back to the bathroom and back to the bed. I laid back in the bed and my mom said why are the bottom of your feet black? I didn't believe her because I had just showered so I took a selfie of my feet. They were filthy, the I looked a t my mom's feet they even dirtier than mine. I got a towel and poured a little water on the floor and the towel was filthy. To top that off the floors are falling apart, planks in the room lift up where they but into to pieces. Some of the butted ends were taped together. The floor was so spongy I would suspect the sub floor is also rotten. Several pieces of tile in the dining area are cracked and peices are no longer adhereed to the floor. They even had a small CO2 detector in the room that was pluged in, so you had to unplug It to plug in the fan in the room. I almost forgot the lamps in the room also didn't work. Did I mention this was the 2nd room we were in because the first room was even worse. This page is not uploading the photos I took. I will file a complaint with Choice Hotels Corporate and send them photos.

There's no AC
4.0
The staff is great and very accommodating! We arrived much later than anticipated (2:30 am) and they were very good at getting us checked in quickly.
We usually stay here during winter so I didn’t think to check, but there’s no AC. They do provide high powered fans for each room since it does cool down at night. But staying on the second floor with just a fan meant waking up several times at night due to being too warm. Not a deal breaker at all just something to consider when booking at looking at forecasted weather!

The check in process was fast and easy.

it has no AC and it was extremely hot. We weren't able to sleep.

No air conditioning at all, needs to be more clearly stated, rooms are hot, very basic and badly installed.
2.0
noisy, smell in the room, very old beaten up property with no A/C-too hot in the room even if the temp outside is cooler. Breakfast is mediocre-better at at MCD. Parking is okay. Location is okay but you have to drive to the villiage. Our bedding was dirty, asked for new sheets but had to put them in our selves, no housekeeping onsite. Our room had bad smell.
2.0
Bathroom wasn't that clean and it needs a BIG remodel : peeling off paint everywhere, tub drain wasn't draining well. The only thing is very comfy bed and clean sheets. Overall not bad stay.
2.0
Condition of the room we stayed in was deplorable. Entire floor area, the laminate was separated and warped, detached from the floor frame. I am guessing, the floor wood frame to which the laminated floor is attached is dry rot infested. When I walked barefoot on the floor, laminate popped up nearly cutting the bottom of my foot.
1.0
Our bed was clean and comfortable but the floors were lifted and separating from the sub floor. The dead bolt would not work, the chain lock was not secure. We did not feel safe.
2.0
It is good overall, cleanliness, breakfast, convenience except no aircondition.
