Easy check in, friendly staff. There was trash and a weird smell in our room. The toilet continued to clog no matter what we did. The pool was cold, cloudy. It’s a long walk to the room and the tiles are not safe when you’re walking back wet. Breakfast was decent but bare. The hotel could use a giant upgrade. Things we did like: the late check out and happy customer service. The area looks ran down and unsafe. I won’t be returning due to unsafe area.

Not a bad place, but just rough around the edges. It was obviously in need of being refreshed. Room was nice, but bathroom had bad caulking on shower. Chipped and busted desk was also present. Breakfast was not up to the standards we have come to expect from Hampton. Service by staff at front desk was excellent. Need someone new over breakfast offerings.

We were thankful for the location, but did not appreciate the dog that barked 11:30 at night and then again at 5:30 in the morning.
The beds were very comfortable, though. It was the hallway noise that kept us awake as even people were loud throughout the late evening hours saying goodnight to one another. I swear there are some who never think about others who are already asleep.

Clean and comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff. Only complaint is that there wasn't a comfortable chair other than the desk chair. Also, tv channels are not labeled correctly, i.e. channel 5 has Fox News logo displayed.

Just a one night stay on travel from NJ to Michigan, but this hotel impressed with kind staff all around—from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast staff—just such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at every point—you don’t find that much anymore and it felt great!

Friendly desk crew, nice amenities. However, bring earplugs and your own pillow. It is essential. You can hear everything in the halls, especially the worker at 6am dragging his wheeled trash can around…and the highway is very near, so you can hear the engine braking and the thunder from all the trucks. Granted, the hotel cannot take this aspect away, but just bring earplugs.

We are longtime fans/have always stayed at Hampton Inn and for years have stopped at Youngstown one going to see family in NY. thought the outside of this one looked a little run down (sidewalk cracking etc) and room smelled a little off.

This property was quite convenient, being located right off of I-80. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

Front desk workers were all pleasant and very friendly…from phone confirmation for a late arrival to check in to check out.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, even though a few signs of wear were evident here and there. The bathroom was immaculate, and the amenities were good. The bed was comfortable, and our stay was pleasant and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of options in a nice room. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel rooms need to be updated. Peeling wall paper and very old very dirty carpet that smells. A wet wash cloth prom a previous guest was hanging on our shower. The saving grace is it is clean over all and the staff is very friendly and professional.

We were sent to a room and it was not the type of room we reserved. They did not want to give us the king room we wanted, but instead give us a discount on the room they gave us. After insisting, they moved us to a king room. I still don’t understand what the problem was.
The room was acceptable, but the bed was very firm- and we like a firm mattress. In the bathroom I found a dirty towel and a pile of someone else’s hair! Everything else was good, including a very effective air conditioner.
The included breakfast was a highlight! Many options and it was all good. It was not crowded and the food was well stocked. The floor was sticky though, so everyone’s shoes were making a lot of noise.
Overall, it was fine. I was surprised that the price was so high considering the location and quality. I’m not sure there is anything better in the area, so if I had to travel there again I would most likely book the same hotel.

We had a very good stay overall. Very convenient if you are traveling along I -80. Very quiet, things were clean. I would say the only negative was my wife felt the room had a stale smoke odor.

I chose this hotel based on ratings but was very disappointed when I saw the bedding didn’t look clean, the outlets next to the bed didn’t work, the closet door was taped shut. When I opened the closet, the tape wouldn’t stick anymore so it kept coming open on its own. Overall not a good experience

Not good. The room had very poor lighting, the TV didn’t work so the front desk told me how to fix it. Hair in the bathroom sink, hair on the bathroom floor. The bathroom light and vent did not work. All for $164 a night. Will not recommend.
