First proposal was a room without windows for 380 USD per night. Upgraded to get a window room > 400 USD, breakfast was a bag on the door - really? Rooftop terrace nice for drinks and small bites

Clean, modern, and comfy! If you’re looking for a place downtown Charleston with minutes to walk to King street where the shopping and food is you’ve found it! Great service, breakfast brought to your room, and rooms cleaned and refreshed daily. Valet parking was a bit expensive and should really only be charged once per stay instead of daily since you don’t need your car, but it was convenient per arrival.

My husband and I stayed at The Vendue for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was the perfect location, walking distance to all the hot spots! The hotel itself was so beautiful and the staff was TOP NOTCH, so hospitable and friendly. Any questions or anything we needed was a text away. The views from the rooftop bar are unmatched! It was the best hotel stay my husband and I have experienced... we were sad to leave and cannot wait to go back!

Well the air conditioner was so loud you couldn't talk above or watch tv when running. The tv would show channels missing one and on again in a day ...maybe. If you were to come back to the room early in the afternoon it would sound like a party going on near the fireplace. Lastly I left behind a computer mouse and they required $18 to ship to me. I guess this was a 1st for me to have a hotel charge me for this service but I never paid $378/night. I have no plans to return and question your service if any!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, This Hotel has amazing art. The staff are very accommodating, and cater to your needs. Great Location, just valet or park car, and will not need the car for the rest of the stay.

Originally booked a room at the Enclave. Room was on ground level so lots of street noise and unable to open shade as window faced out to a parking lot. Floors in room were quite dirty. Staff was able to “upgrade” me to a larger room at the Vendue the next day. Room was larger and on 3rd floor with two beds and a fireplace. Like others have mentioned, weird odors in the hallways and I also thought the main entrance smelled like a gas leak. The bathroom vent was noisy and didn’t do much to ventilate. Bathroom floor tiles cracked. Walls and floor boards chipped and dusty. Bed uncomfortable. Didn’t feel that this hotel was 4 star quality.

This was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. They cater SO WELL to the guests staying here. From the second I pulled up I was greeted by so many nice people. If you’re lucky enough to meet Dannielle that your stay will just be tremendous!! She was THE MOST welcoming guest experience manager I’ve ever met. You can tell she sincerely wants everyone to enjoy their time at her hotel. Every little thing was thought through, I kept finding myself pleasantly surprised with each passing hour. And the art is just stunning, the rooms are so unique and clean. And the location is perfect. We walked everywhere. We will come back simply because our experience with Dannielle was so top notch.

Wonderful art motel. The staff were especially amazing! I paid extra for a window room but it looked out over AC units so I felt a little short changed. But everything else was wonderful.

Absolutely loved my first stay here and looked forward to my most recent trip. Service is fantastic and everyone there is great. This time my much smaller room smelled musty, wood floors were a little tired and dusty in the corners. Restaurant was closed. Sorry it was just not great.

In the evening, hot water was slow to come out and neighbors door was squeaky, subsequently waking us. On the other hand , staff was amazingly friendly and thoughtful. The art gallery was fun to see each day.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The lobby was gorgeous and I really enjoyed the art on display. The staff was fantastic and attentive, and the room was extremely comfortable and clean. It was located right near the waterfront and was a great central location for exploring Charleston. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The hotel is an art gallery in its hallways, lobby, and in its rooms. It has no traditional "desk" I accommodates visitors by having a welcoming glass of wine, cookies and milk at 9PM, a morning breakfast bag of muffins and croissants and fruit. The staff are very personable and supportive.

The STAFF WAS INCREDIBLE! VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY! The room was nice but noisy music from the hallway and service entrance door noise was annoying. Took a long time to get hot water. Great location easy walk to many venues.

Staff is very attentive and helpful. The “lobby” decor is absolutely amazing. The red lighting in the lobby bathrooms is pretty cool. There’s nothing negative I can say about this place. Trust me, you WILL NOT be disappointed in this place. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great stay this weekend. We frequently visit Charleston and this time was extra special because we got engaged. Upon arriving we were greeted Jesicca in the lobby of the Vendue. She was extremely accommodating and professional. She offered us champagne and gave us a great tour of the lobby and told us about all the great amenities they had. We were so impressed with her presentation and willingness to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel like we were VIPs. Highly recommend staying at the Vendue and if her supervisors read this they really need to acknowledge her for her great work!

Great location! Unique hotel with wonderful staff, comfortable, clean room and fun vibe! Parking at $40 per day is a little high but Charleston definitely doesn’t have much parking available so I get it.
