loved the amount of space we had in our suite, only problem was the blankets, we booked a family suite and yet the pull out couch didnt come with blankets, when we called and asked for them, the ones they brought were so rough and thin and felt like dish wash cloth, my kids felt so uncomfortable

Very spacious one bedroom unit with full size fridge ,microwave/ oven & 2 stoves top . Good value for the size & location . It’s a little bit on the dark side & somewhat dated ..

We did not realize until 3am that the thermostat stopped working which resulted in zero heat in our suite. It was super cold for the rest of the night and into the morning.

What a wonderful stay at the Sutton Place Annually I take my nieces downtown to shop, have dinner and a sleepover. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was so comfortable for the 4 of us. Service was amazing, friendly and quick. I will definately book this again

Close to Downtown if that is what you are after. Lobby looks to have been refurbished but not the rooms. All master rooms in the 2 bedroom suites back on to the lifts and so can hear the old lifts banging up and down all night. Asked to be moved to a different room but told they all do this. Furniture very old and outdated. House keeping came at 8:30pm and seemed disgruntled that we didn’t want to leave the room at night for it to be cleaned. 2 of the rooms had holes in the walls. Large and conveniently located but that is about all. Not up to the standard of basic accomodation in 2024 and desperately in a need of a refurbish.

Was incredibly disappointed in our room at The Sutton. Since the hotel is undergoing renovations, they're advertising their new updated rooms on Expedia (which is what I thought I had booked), but the room we were given was old and worn and looked completely different. Additionally, check-in took over 40 minutes with a line around the lobby.

TV operation was terrible. Minimal channels. Couldn’t chrome cast. For $400 a night you’d expect a proper smart rv. Everybody has one at home. Disappointing. And cleanliness wasn’t that great. Every time we walked down the hallway we walked around bags of garbage and dirty laundry. Not acceptable

Book annually for friends and family gathering. First time in La Grande Residence. Nice, simple, clean suite. First night heating didn't work (Dec in Vancouver!). Various staff came, said that since it's an old building they have issues and can bring us a small space heater ?!? It was freezing. Had to make it work.....

Always enjoy staying here. Had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family. Only stayed 1 night this time. Had an issue last time we were here but everything went great this time. Staff is always great. Can feel its an older facility vs some of the hotels in the area but still a great place to stay especially if you want larger rooms.

It was a terrible experience. The pool was so dirty. Our room wasn’t ready. We never got kids robes even tho asked twice. Room service was 30 mins late and cold and undercooked. The room heat would not turn off and even with windows open it was too hot for anyone to have covers. Noisy street with people yelling at each other and sirens. Pool was freezing the kids couldn’t swim in it. Hot tub was yellow. They gave us a free movie for inconveniences but then the tv remote wouldn’t work. It was so disappointing.

The two bedroom suite is very old and filthy. We paid for the space because we couldn’t find any other property that could fit our family of five. Two many turns inside the suite and the carpet is black wit the very low lighting so it is hard to tell if the carpet is properly cleaned. It smells very bad that I h

Checked into a 2 bedroom unit and a mouse was found running around the kitchen area. The staff was tremendous in quickly addressing the issue by moving us to another room, which we actually enjoyed more. Did not have a kitchen unit but worked well as we weren't planning on cooking. The mouse left a really bad feeling about the stay and would not want to stay on that floor or area of the building ever again, but if that incident had not happened, from how the staff was to overall how the remodeled side of the hotel was, it would be a place I would stay again...minus the rodent.

We weren't able to get into our room until an hour and a half after check in time, as our room hadnt been finished being clean. We almost missed our plans because of this. Despite being told when we checked in that our room was almost done and would be ready in 15 minutes, it took almost an hour after that point before we were able to go to our room. There was no bedding for the sofa bed anywhere in the room. We got back from an event at 11:30pm and only realized this then. We phoned the front desk several times and no one picked up. A member of our party ended up having to go downstairs in their pyjamas and inquire about bedding in person. Even then it took almost half an hour for bedding to be brought up. Other than those large issues, the room was clean and the property was nice.

Nice spacious room and great service. My only complaint is how loud it was. There’s a hospital a few blocks away and we heard sirens all night. We stayed nearby at another high end hotel and I didn’t notice it being so loud.

The location was perfect for our event we attended. It was less than 15 minute walking distance. Hotel is beautiful and parking was easy. For just over $600 for one night I did have higher expectations. Our room came with a kitchenette and the stovetop and backsplash was full of grease and crumbs from a previous stay. The wallpaper was peeling at all the seams and looks outdated.

This property is in an ideal location. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Our room was a little worn and was definitely in need of a few repairs and a deep clean.

The suite was dirty, and it wasn't even cleaned on the day (Friday) that they stipulated was cleaning day for that suite. Swimming pool/hot tub area was disgustingly dirty. We asked for help with the TV, someone came and looked and said he had to fix it remotely, nothing got fixed and no one inquired if it indeed was up and running. All in all very poor service for the prices they charge, we will not come back and will not recommend this place.

Room needs a renovation and smelt like water damage in the walls and the baseboards appeared to have water damage and the smell seemed to be like a wet basement. Wallpapers peeling and such. Not worth the price but the potential is there. Just needs some Reno's and updating.

This property was exceptional in many ways. It’s location, it’s convenience and friendly staff. We were disappointed however to find a pair of filthy men’s underpants under the main room bed (they looked like they had been there a while). Front desk staff were informed and were apologetic however this did take the gloss off what we felt was a lovely place to stay.
