Make sure you really read the descriptions of the rooms. The 2nd floor studio rooms are directly above the very busy bar, which means floor shaking music until 1am.

Great value staying at Swans - liked my studio room - lovely wood floor. Nice kitchenette. Great view of harbour. Wonderful area - so many restaurants nearby. Lucky I am a good sleeper who can sleep through noise as there was a fair bit of noise coming up from pub and brewery - plus people on the streets. Might bother some. But I would recommend to other sound sleepers!

Bathroom was very messy in Pub. Sounded like someone was vacuuming at 6 am, which was noisy. We expected Pub noise in the night, but morning vacuuming seemed odd.

This property is quite run down. Rooms need new carpet, furniture, blinds. Bed was comfortable. Pictures show exposed beams in the rooms and ours were painted . Expedia showed our ck in at 3pm and hotel info was 4pm. This hotel did not live up to our expectations. Staff was just ok. Wouldn’t stay again. Plenty of options in the city center

Absolutely amazing! The staff was so friendly and willing to accommodate. We had an excellent room with private courtyard and the only time we heard anything from anyone was when the seagulls awoke in the morning! Parking can be a hassle but we found a place across the street from the hotel and though expensive, was very convenient.

It was lovely, the girl who helped me check in was amazing and honestly she was the greatest any time I needed help. It was loud with the seagulls in the area, however honestly it was an amazing experience you are so close to the water and everything you need, I had a chance to eat at the pub and it was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this place every single time I stay in VIC or anyone does for that matter. It's such a great location with amazing people

No parking was a disadvantage. Had to park away from the hotel. Then walk 10 minutes. Aside from this, i would stay there again. Walk to the harbour, great pubs with live music nearby. Pre covid Swans had live music, which was one of the reasons for staying there.

Staff were super friendly and quick to respond and location is good. The rooms are incredibly tired looking. Chairs have fabric peeling off, decorations old, an outlet with no cover. Rooms have bedroom up steep stairs, but toilet /bathroom is downstairs. Not super safe walking up and down in the middle of the night. Have a stove, but no pots. In desperate need of updating!!!

Excellent location. Fun rooms. SO LOUD!!! Really great location within walking distance of so many sights. A great 2-floor room with little terraces. No AC so it was a little stuffy here at the end of August. I slept without any blankets. The pub downstairs PUMPS the base in the music so loud that I felt it in my bed on the 3rd floor. There was no escape from it. I had to get up at 5am so was in bed by 10. But I couldn’t sleep from the beats. Maybe they finally quieted down by 11? For this reason I can’t give it a better rating.

Great character! The location was ideal to be near the harbour. It was unseasonably warm so the room was very warm due to having no air conditioning unit. Cooled off at night with the windows open. The staff was very helpful in answering questions about parking in the area.

First and foremost we were very impressed by the front desk service. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable and ready to give us recommendations. There is no A/C in the rooms and the fans provided didn’t give enough relief during the heat wave. Extremely cleanly and spacious. Great central location.

Convenient to harbour front tourist attraction and walking distance to all the conveniences for me eg: Harbour Air. Price was right for condo I received and location. Luckily though the weather wasn’t scorching hot as no air conditioning, only fans. While great king sized bed was upstairs, the only toilet was located downstairs (several steps) so a senior with sore hips/knees & nighttime urinary frequency would have a lot of problem ( luckily not my problem yet!) so all was good.

Really enjoyed Swans. The location was perfect. The beds were comfortable. The halls and rooms were quiet. The hotel had good sound proofing to block out the street noise as well. Would stay again. Highly recommend!

What this hotel has is location. Can't beat it. Th eprice was very good as well. The parking, no AC and a squeaking ceiling fan were the issues holding back a better rating. We also found it weird you could not enter the pub from the hotel lobby. Clearly at one time you must have been able too since there is a door.

Loved this property. The room was unique and a very comfortable sleep. The only thing that was a slight issue was that the coffee table was removed for repair so there was no place to set a drink while sitting on the couch. Had to place our wine glasses on a chair or on the floor. Apparently there is always a coffee table there though. Just our luck this time. We would definitely go back.

The room was wonderfully large! Very, very nice. View of the harbor...an added bonus as we got to view Canada Day fireworks from our room! Great pub downstairs...easy walking distance to all of downtown. We'll be back!!

Our room was on the 3rd floor, we loved it. Itvwas clean and functional. Bed was so good. Bright and nostalgic. Service was great, no issues at all. Location of the hotel was excellent and very convenient. Only thing was, hot water. There was something wrong so our room did not have hot water, that was really a problem. They offered a different room but it was not as good as our current room. So we politely denied it and managed in the same room.

Hotel itself was great but the pub was just okay. The meals weren’t that great and five of us are their twice. Not many choices for beer and staff were not knowledgeable about the beer. Check in at hotel was friendly and rooms were clean.
