The hotel was on renovation. Restaurant not available. Room was extra small. No space to open the luggage. No bottles water no coffee machine. Air/heater making strong noises all night. Shower only from the top...

I had a wonderful day and the best view

It was great value for the price and was a sweet little boutique hotel. I had one major issue with my room which the staff worked to solve. As it wasn't resolved by checkout they generously took a substantial amount off my bill. The service was great.

Stayed in a city view queen room and had a fantastic view! The staff was nice, hotel was clean, and had a great stay. I’d recommend staying here and will stay again and book their sky view room for a double window view but the city views was gorgeous too!

The staff was helpful and welcoming . The actual Hotel was run down and a mess . I have stayed at ither Arlo locations in NYC and they were wonderful , This location is poor and does not even compare .
Again the staff was welcoming the actual property was not

Good overall, but the resort fee detracts from the stay

The rooms at this hotel are the smallest I have
ever encountered with little or no room for your luggage. Also no restaurant or bar.

Good location hotel and great service, we also loved how clean it is and how good it smells.

I really enjoyed the room and location, but that’s about it. The staff didn’t impress me at all. Only one girl/woman behind the reception desk was genuinely nice to me during my stay when I went to collect my luggage from the hotel on the departure day evening before heading to the airport. She asked how my stay was and made some nice conversation with me. Thank you for that, I should have asked your name. One of the security guys was just rude because I happened to be foreigner and my native language isn’t English, and I didn’t understand everything he said at first so he had to repeat. And what comes to this one barista guy, you could see from miles away that he would like to be anywhere else than where he was at that moment. Overall, the customer service and hospitality side was a big, big disappointment. The location of the hotel and Queen Sky Room were top notch so I would have really wanted to say I’ll be coming back and that the stay was spectacular. And maybe I will, but not in the near future at least. The customer service is half of the experience and this was not a success from my point of view.

Good hotel for one night but the restaurant was not open and the rooftop is closed for the season. And I wasn’t very happy there was resort fee considering we only water lol

It was one of the worst stays ever. There was an unexpected water pipe burst in the middle of the night, around 2 AM. Everybody had to evacuate of course.
The staff tried their best to accommodate everyone's needs but were not prepared at all. I could tell there was no protocol for incidents like this.
They did offer a full refund and a complimentary room to stay but guess what, there was no water until the check-out time. Of course, there wasn't any advisory notice in advance. I couldn't even take a shower.
I understand things happen and not everything can be prepared in advance but such an incident could be prepared and handled better.

Only problem I had with my stay was being close to the elevator. Didnt want to complain to the front desk because of how busy they were. Definitely would stay again though.
They got me checked in fairly quick at night.

The hotel was filthy and dingy. The restaurants and cafe were closed. Total waste of money.

We stayed at Arlo NoMad for 4 nights on the 17th floor. It is a very basic and overrated hotel. I would give it an overall rating of 3 out of 5. The views from the queen corner room were nothing special because other buildings block the view. We could barely see the tip of the Empire State Building from our room. The rooms and bathrooms are very basic and outdated. You do not get the feeling of an upscale hotel here. However, the location was nice. It is right in midtown. We didn't have any issues with noise.

Photos are totally deceptive as are room descriptions. Rooms are the size of a shoebox—even by NY standards—and beware: beds are not actually Queen, they are Japanese Queen which are much smaller than an American bed. This seems like an obvious way to deceive potential guests who would otherwise not book a hotel room for two people in a double. This property is nothing more than a glorified hostel with private rooms and bathrooms. There is a major cleanliness issue. Bed was full of hairs. The sheets are the type that retain hairs even after washing. The shower was not properly cleaned as it had hairs all over from the previous guest. Blackout curtains were torn and had dirt all over. Was very gross tbh.

The hotel was ok, the location was fantastic as its a stone throw away from the empire state building.
The service was mediocore and staff could be more attentive. When I first came to the hotel, staff didn't even lift up their heads from their screens which seemed rather rude, if busy could indicate to another member of staff to assist?
The restaurant and hotel is currently being refurbed so construction noise. None of this highlighted anywhere.
The room itself is ok, none of the little touches ie small amenities. The urban fee seems to be items useless for any stay really - could be better use ie credit towards food/drinks or even more than two cans of water only at the beginning of your stay. There was supposed to be complimentary coffee, on the two occasions I attempted to utilise this, there was none! The rooms are not soundproof and plenty of noise from traffic.
I was sent flowers and I understand the sender requested for these to be left in my room. I had to call reception for this myself spoiling the surprise.
One evening, guests were being completely inconsiderate at 10pm. I called down to reception to sort it out, they seemed to be indifferent and not helpful at all. In the end, I had to say something myself to the guests shouting.
The cleaning staff all seem to be great - room kept clean.
Would I stay here again….no, pay a bit more.

The room was a little tight with the bed taking up a lot of space, but that’s what I’d expect from a NY hotel room anyways. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Arlo Nomad was a great choice and now added to one of my favorite places to stay in NYC. We came in from St. Louis to bring in 2024 in Times Square. Its 31st street location puts you within walking distance of the subway, bus route and all points of interest in lower and midtown Manhattan & Times Square. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and lively. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We definitely look forward to staying with them during our next visit to NYC.

Brilliant hotel the staff very friendly and helpful. Only issue is the hot water came though the tap very murky and cloudy, apart from that no issues would definitely stay again.

Located well and safe area. We were central to all places we wanted to visit, including museums, shopping on 5th avenue, and time square. The room was smaller than expected but it was clean.

Professional service at reception
10.0
Firstly, the location of the hotel can’t get any better, lots of restaurants soon as you walk outside, within walking distance. Located right beside the subway and the Empire State Building. Once you go inside, the staff is very polite and offer great customer service. If anything is needed they would respond quickly and effectively.
