A fantastic last minute find! Hawkstone Hall and Gardens is beautiful, with stunning grounds and lovely nearby walks. The service was flawless and the food delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

Hawkstone is a fabulous place to stay. A truly beautiful building in an off the beaten track location in the Shropshire countryside. It has a lovely garden to explore and a gym for those with more energy. The breakfasts were fresh and varied too. And not least of all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
However, the music playing in every public room was rather overbearing. It even extended to the outdoor terrace and could be heard in our bedroom. (from early morning till evening)
The music was mainly from the 20’s and 30s, charming at first but after 2 days on repeat it was rather annoying. This may seem like a trite complaint but we chose the hotel for its location, away from everything to rest and relax. As nature lovers and music lovers, there’s always a place for both but we prefer birdsong over rag-time when we’re sitting outside. We did report this but were told the owners wanted it like this. It needs reviewing.

Lovely welcome. Glass of Prosecco on arrival. Very clean, comfortable quiet room with lots of nice little extras. We didn’t eat in the evening but enjoyed a nice full English breakfast. Will definitely return.

The only thing the property lacked is a pool and spa facilities.
