Lovely old building, big comfortable rooms and bed, food good.
The venue, completely surprisingly to us, run Boxing Nights. That night was very noisy in our part of the hotel until after midnight. Had we known in advance we would have asked for a different room or chosen different dates.

The fact we were only there to sleep - disappointed
Breakfast was good choice
Room was very small and tired despite supposedly being an upgraded room in the hotel not the annexe.
Definitely not a large double bed, cramped and paint peeling in the bathroom.
Breakfast was cereal, pastries, juices, fruit and a cooked breakfast served buffet style. We did ask for poached eggs which were delivered to the table.
We had been to a wedding locally so literally checked in headed off and returned late to sleep otherwise I would have been bitterly disappointed with the room and asked to have been moved. I felt it was definitely not worth the price paid and would not stay there again.
Didn’t use the spa facilities but it all seemed to be closed for repair
