This is a beautiful, scenic spot on a river. Yurts are quite large, and the heated mattress pads are FABULOUS! Beds are very comfortable, but found the furniture not to be... mainly because the yurt sides touched my head while trying to sit :) not a lot of space to move the seats around Staying here in mid-summer w/24 hour light was challenging, even in sleep masks. It's quite bright. Breakfast was very disappointing - not worth the cost -but I absolutely LOVED the shared kitchen "tent" next to the dining. Such a great amenity! Shared refrigerator, cooking area and sink, hot water maker, space heaters and wonderful picnic tables, dishes - even spices and oil. Just a fantastic extra perk. Showers and w/cs were fine. Exterior doors didn't work well - but overall totally fine. Showers were nice. Generally a beautiful space to stay, and worth the drive to Husavik and other locations

Hard to get a good night’s sleep in a tent when the sun never sets. Property is bare bones but the tents are nice. Amenities such as a fire pit for conversation with other guests or chairs overlooking the river would add something to the experience.

This is a very unique property and we loved it. The view from the tent was extraordinary and very peaceful. The tent was spacious and had all the amenities of a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and the showers were very clean. The check-in process was smooth and quick. One of the nights that we were there we had the most outstanding display of Northern Lights! There is very little light pollution and the lights seem to be brighter and lasted for well over 2 hours. It was amazing. The only suggestion that I would have, is the staff could ask when checking in if towels were required. We did not have towels and that meant we had to wait until the desk was open to get towels to shower. We loved staying at Camp Boutique and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience to enhance thier Iceland vacation. Glamping Iceland experience.

Unique experience camping/glamping with such an amazing view. Bathroom facilities were very clean. Amazing tent layout with everything you'd possibly need for your stay. Friendly service.

Super nice tents and staff, showers and facilities are super clean. The warming blankets and the heater keep you warm at all times! You can get towels if you need them and store personal items in the fridge. Breakfast is not included (2000kr p.p) but there's always coffee and tea. Beautiful stay!

Definitely glamping and not camping. We had a family tent and it was spacious and comfortable. The setting of the yurts is breathtaking: right on the river bank with mountains as a backdrop. Very serene.

immaculate tents and furniture in a beautiful setting along the water. Sigrún was helpful and accommodating of later arrivals. She preheated the tent. Electric mattress pads kept us more than warm enough even though only it was about 45F at night. I really wish we had booked more nights so we. Plus have enjoyed the area more. We had 4 adults in a family tent with no problem but must share 2 beds. The shower/toilet building has a sink and hot water pot and more cooking facilities were available but you would need to bring cooking gear like a normal camp. It was about 30 min South of Husavik which has restaurants. Sigrún makes coffee in AM and the buffet in the AM is extra but provided.

Beautiful location and tents, very cosy inside, but dress warmly as it gets cold outside there at night (though the electric blankets kept us warm inside the tent). Highly recommend.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying in our little tent under the stars in Iceland. Everything in our tent was perfect— a nice big bed, heater & provided candles and a lantern for light when it got dark. We were so comfortable and warm during the evening thanks to the heated blankets. There was also a very nice shower and bathroom facility on-site, which were we’re thankful for. We were able to enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee the next morning. Highly recommend staying here if you travel to Iceland! It’s relatively close to some of the tourist destinations, like Selfoss and Dettifoss.

Check-in could be better as you are expected to ring an international number to speak to the manager if they are not around (assuming you have a signal and that your carrier allows this!) The site itself is beautiful- next to the river with beautiful views all around. It was very quiet. The tent is well equipped. I would stay there again.

This place is super unique and just what you want to experience when traveling to Iceland. The bathhouse is convenient and very nice. The yurt was warm when we arrived, spacious and very nice. Would definitely recommend!!

Such a wonderful glamping experience in Northern Ireland! Every little detail was perfectly looked after and love that it is a local, family run business. Definitely a bucket list item if you are ever visiting Iceland! Would highly recommend!

The tent was amazing, exactly like the pictures and very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful when asked about dining options. There was heating in the room and the setting was beautiful in front of a river. My kids loved the experience of glamping!

We stayed here one night and would have loved to stay longer. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The tent was clean and stylish with comfortable bed and heating. Surrounding area was peaceful and the tents were by a beautiful river.

We stayed for just one night at Original North in a Deluxe Tent, and it wasn't long enough! Sigrún was a wonderful host and was receptive when we texted needing help with directions. I've put some information to help below. The tent was what we expected from the pictures, and there were heating lamps and a heated blanket on the bed for some warmth. The view is wonderful! The bathrooms were clean and nearby. Wifi was strong I would definitely stay there again. DIRECTIONS: It took us a bit to get to the right place - the road doesn't exist in Google Maps without satellite view. I turned on satellite mode on my map after we had tried to go up the mountain next door and found the road that leads directly south to the site. 85 runs south from Husavik, pass the turn off for 845, and you need to turn off of 85 onto the private road where there is a small sign that says Original North before the river crossing. The GPS point for the sign where you turn off is 65.8400921, -17.4999936.
