Booked last minute. Not stayed at a Motel One before and got to say am impressed. I wasn’t expecting too much as knew it would be no frills but the room although compact was modern, well designed and had a very comfortable bed. Heating/air conditioning worked well and room was extremely well soundproofed. Small bathroom but good shower and clean fluffy towels. Everything was spotlessly clean.
Check in was a breeze and staff were really pleasant and welcoming. Our request for a room on a higher floor was no problem and they’d even left a few treats in the room as we were celebrating a milestone birthday for my husband.
The hotel is really well located, a short walk to several tube/train stations, with lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Several tourist attractions including the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s cathedral, sky garden/the garden at 130 and leadenhall market are a short stroll away. We also went to see ABBA Voyage and it was an easy 20 minute journey on the DLR from the hotel. In addition the Elizabeth line from Liverpool Street station (only a 10 min walk away) took us to Bond Street/ in about 7 mins!). All in all a great stay and would definitely return.
Nothing really…..in terms of security maybe the hotel
Should consider requiring a room key card to access individual floors in the hotel.

The location was perfect, very central, close to the tube for what we had planned in London.
There was anything we didn’t like.
