Very welcoming and friendly host. Wonderful location; easy to reach but secluded. Charming farmhouse feel to the property. Very well appointed guest kitchen & lounge. The breakfast is very good; I'd personally recommend the masala omelette it will set you up for the day beautifully, it is very delicately spiced and not "hot" at all.
Genuinely difficult to find any faults. But it is a guest house not a hotel and the property was a Lakeland farm. So some people might find the rooms small with no tea/coffee facilities, but the guest kitchen really is very well appointed (with tea/coffee); cooker, microwave, fridge & freezer. It would be perfectly possible to cook meals there, and there is a guest dining room as well as a lounge. The property is on the A66, so easy to find, but a less confident driver might worry a little about turning to the right out of the property .

Excellent location, parking good, host friendly and welcoming
Bed was very soft. Breakfast was either vegetarian or continental, continental was basic, no fruit juice. Communal kitchen did not suit us, we prefer being able to make a drink in room. Only 1 set of towels for a 2 night stay. No staff on desk at check out

Location. Bed. Easy to get to by road. Flexible and attentive host. Good for our dog.
Cleanliness, particularly bathroom. Whole place very cold on first night, wet, damp weather came in. 2nd night heating put on after our request. We had lots of wet clothing after wild swimming in the lakes. Totally vegetarian food, no meat options. Same pastries and same fruit every morning.
