It was a room that we stayed in. Our room had all the makings for a great stay: king bed, comfy recliner with foot rest, mini fridge, microwave, table and 2 chairs, desk, working AC, toilet and shower separate from the sink, etc. Buuut it was superiorly average or slightly less than average. The bed was neither comfy nor horrible but average. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. The toilet struggled to flush. Our stay was just meh.

The Costa Mesa Inn is exceptionally clean. Staff are very attentive and resolved minor problems promptly. Staff moved me to a quieter room very quickly when I requested it. The Inn is a great value, and very close to Orange Coast College. Don’t miss the fish tacos at Tacos Madre, right next door.

The room smelled bad The carpet was dirty. The bathtub had a ring around the bathroom sink. The counter is peeling The room had a bad odor. The carpet needs to be pulled up, felt unsafe. check out was at 11:00am but I left at noon a rude man was banging on my door for me to leave. I told him I will be leaving in a second. He said he’ll wait outside my door until I get out the room I felt really uncomfortable about that, then I went to the office the following day and I was told that there was a red star by my name saying that I was banned from the property. Don’t know why but it sounds like it’s some prejudice stuff going on at this property. beware

My stay was good. Room was nice, the tv screen was a little worn to be a flat screen. Bed was super soft and comfortable though. I'll be returning sometime in the near future for sure. The next time I go, I want a room with a hot tub lol.

I’ve stayed a few times now, and will definitely be staying in the near future as well. Rooms are spacious, much larger than most. Very comfortable furniture, and the staff are very nice and accommodating.

Smelled like smoke. Horrible management. Shady people and a rowdy bar next door. Drained pool that’s an eye sore. If you’re looking for a clean new low price motel with a sparkling pool and brand new laundry facility go to Orange Grove Inn in Tustin. You’re Welcome.

The price per night is very fair and what I like the most is that there are convenience stores and restaurants located at walking distance. This hotel is about 20 minutes to the beach. Quiet at night, And also included a fridge and a microwave which was a plus

Property was good for the rate. The rooms and furnishings are not great, but they are fine for the money you spend and the staff was great. Definitely a gem if on a tight budget. Stayed here while visiting Disney parks, good distance as well. About a 20min drive, straight shot from motel to parks. No freeway needed.

The location was the key for us but with a pub next door it gets a little rowdy at night. The towels, carpet and exterior of the building need to be updated and painted. There's no spa or pool to use. We had ants in our bathroom.

If you just need a place to crash for the night, this place will do the job. But I would not reccomend this place for longer stays. Staff wasnt terrible but definitely they are not super accomadating. I wanted to see if I could check in early since I wouldnt be available until late at night, but they didnt have any kind of early check in policy. The guy assured me tho I would still have my booking at the end of the night and I could leave my vehicle at the premises which was nice. However, in the middle of the music festival i was attending, they did call me to ask when I plan to check in which is exactly why I wanted to check in early to avoid being interrupted or any issues. I get there after 10pm and the night receptionist was out on lunch so I had to now wait 15 min outside for him to come back so I can get my room key..once again could have been avoided if I was able to check in early. I get to the room and two of the lamps wouldnt turn on and the heater also wasnt turning on. I figured out that I had to mess with the outlets to get them to work. Oh and heres the kicker. I open the mini fridge and there was two containers of left overs which tells me the staff did not check everything in the room and i even found someones little piece of jewlery. As far as everything else in the room, beds and bathroom, looked pretty clean and neat. I litterally only needed it for the night to crash so I can wait out to drive home the next morning. But I will not book there again.

I needed a place for a music festival down in Huntington Beach, but was not wanting to pay HB prices. I found Costa Mesa Inn to be in a decent area, right by OC Bus service, and in good condition. Nothing too fancy, and some noise at night since there's a pub on the property, but still would choose again if the need arises!

This hotel was the worst i've stayed in for almost two years, and I travel a lot. The room smelled very musty/moldy. There was no internet service. AT least, not for more than a minute at a time. I was unable to even load a restaurant menu onto my browser, or check my email. There is something wrong with their router and the signal was barely usable. Using a terminal window the pings i sent out could not connect to the closest server or timed out constantly. There were ants constantly on the vanity counter and sink. The carpet is very old and stained. The bathroom is full of rust. The bed has headboards with a lip that sticks out so it's not comfortable to sit up in the bed. The air conditioner did not blow cool air. I would never stay there again, and recommend you avoid this place.

This is a budget friendly hotel. It has always been very clean. Staff is friendly and cleaning staff are very nice. I think this property had a bad rep a few years back but since we have been staying there it is safe and clean. Very centrally located as well.

The room was noisy, but worst of all were the roaches and poorly maintained room we stayed in. Door in restroom didnt lock, and the main door was partially painted. There was noise from other room all night long.

Beds are very comfortable and pillows were great!! I got my morning walk in to 7-11 for my morning coffee. There’s also a nice walking path close by that runs along Harbor Blvd. Monitored by walking police. A nice Inn to stay at. I’m happy we chose it.

The room was clean and comfortable and spacious but not 600 sq ft as noted on Hotels.com. Very quiet and walking distance to an Irish pub and great Mexican food. The rooms have a microwave and fridge along with a coffee maker. The linens were changed daily without a request which was very nice as I normally travel with dogs I never have that option. This hotel is NOT dog friendly except for service animals.

GREAT hidden location in quiet area; close to beach and easy access to freeways. Beds were great; it's an older property but very clean ; nice tv and fridge; Met my expectations. I'd stay here again when in town for work.

The Costa Mesa Inn is in a great location, very convenient to shops and restaurants. However, the facility is not well maintained and not even clean. I wouldnt walk in my room without my shoes because the carpet was filthy. They also have some plumbing problems.

Don’t stay here!! The hotel is infested with cockroaches and the pool is permanently closed with bushes and trees growing in the pool and hot tub. We had cockroaches crawling in and out of the microwave. This hotel needs to be condemned it is unsanitary!!
