They just did a major renovation here on the rooms and will being dong the outside soon. The rooms are nice and the new owners seem great.
The exterior is a little rough at present but this place will be great when the renovation is complete.

Completely updated, beautiful, and very comfortable rooms. Great location with nearby food and coffee shops. Short drive to beach and peninsula. Owner was very nice and takes pride in the business. Will continue to stay here when visiting the Newport area.

The hotel was rated 9.1 so I booked it for one night. A double queen room for about $150 so a good value. When we pulled up, this was an older-looking hotel so I had my doubts. I checked in and the front desk lady was very friendly and super easy to check in. Once we got the key, we went to the room. The room was very clean and modern. Completely renovated. Two nice queen beds, flat-screen TV, microwave, and frig. The bathroom was very nice with a walk-in shower. I completely agree with the 9.1 rating and would recommend staying here.
There was no ice machine that I could find but I could have just missed it.
