Beautiful rooms in a large Victorian house. So spacious! No street noise and close to downtown. No onsite parking, but structure around the corner.

Comfortable room in a great location, but in need of some renovation/repairs. The shower in my room had extremely old, stripped fixtures (the handle came off multiple times in the three times I used it), and the door would not stay on its tracks.

There was no staff onsite for most of my stay. An alarm was going off in the office the entire night, and you could hear it from the room. I got no response to the calls and texts I sent to the urgent phone number. Once a real person arrived onsite in the morning, they were delightful, kind and attentive. But unfortunately the lack of service negatively affected my stay.

Weird hotel. I wanted to like it. Beautiful renovated Victorian. Horrible experience checking in late. I wasn’t the only one! Lots of people lost looking for their room. Curtains did not fully cover windows, especially in the bathroom!! Crazy Shower full of mold and one sink at a double vanity ran al night. Never again

Arriving at the hotel around 6p and not being able to get in was very disappointing. The hotel reception shuts down at 4p; therefore the hotel mandates you ck in by 4p. Im sorry, Im on vacation and zi set my own schedule, not the hotel!!!

Building was beautiful. Has Old Building Charm!! Floor uneven and creaky, but part of the charm. Bathroom faucet leaked and dripped all the time. Mattress was very old and needs to be replaced.

The Sterling is an OK stay; not bad, but it is not exceptional nor great. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast which does not exist. When I travel with my wife and toddler, I never book without the hotel providing breakfast. NEVER. When I was booking, I made sure to check the breakfast included box and The Sterling listed as providing breakfast. At check-in, the receptionist confirmed our fear: no breakfast. Next, the mattresses were too soft to the point where you sort of sink in. Lastly, the maid was cleaning the room in front of us and slamming doors. My wife kindly asked her to please not slam doors so hard because our sick toddler was sleeping; maid ignored our request. In comparison, I've stayed in far better hotels in the USA and the third-world for half the price. Hope this feedback helps some of you.
