Location onto the station was excellent. Breakfast was enjoyable with a wide offering. Staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the view from the room onto the square (concert hall and art gallery) with the Liverbirds in the distance.
The room was stuffy at night as the windows cannot be opened - no fresh air. For a "superior" room, it was rather small and offered no bath robes/slippers for non-carpeted floor. Surprisingly, one pillowcase was too small for the pillow.

Thought it was expensive for room only, ignored at the bar when trying to order a drink, room decor very dark - not my taste at all.

Comfortable bed. Lovely shower room with toiletries. Location. Breakfast.
Standard room very small. No drawers or cupboards for storage. Bar & meal prices high. Menu prices are plus VAT & service charge.
