We love coming to Merebrook and have been staying for many years -

The grounds were amazing! The house was the perfect blend of historic with modern day flare. The room was beautiful 😍

Lovely and warm. Oodles of very hot water. Extremely thick thirsty towels and nice cotton dressing gowns provided. Warm luxury bedding. Traditional downstairs lounge areas with wooden panelling and large Chesterton furniture. Light and airy breakfast room. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Staff were very helpful and friendly and suggested where to eat in the evenings. We were also offered trays of tea to take in the lounge every day of our stay.

Could do with a light at the end of the driveway to help find in the dark. The property decor and contents do need some modernisation in the rooms. The shower seemed to whine at us and the loo seat needed re-fixing.

Everything about Mere brook house was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the breakfast was lovely and the house itself was grand and comfortable at the same time. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A great find - beautiful tranquil spot with lovely gardens. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff very welcoming and a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast.
