Like many other reviews , the property entrance was hard to find , you have to make a quick left onto oncoming traffic or make a left at the light and go down an undentified unkept road. The outside was noisy from all the road traffic and diesel trucks with loud exhaust. Small cabin , uncomfortable beds and couch , the bed in master is very tall , the second bed was hard as a rock . The cabin smelled like old wood , soot and smoke ok if that your thing but we had to keep the windows open all the time . The couch is uncomfortable as heck it needs to be replaced . The cabin states that it was remodeled, I don’t see where . The river is a ways down within walking distance but it was not relaxing as the neighbors dog kept barking at us and it’s a shared . We left a day early and didn’t submit ourselfs to one more day of torture. The property manager did respond to our compliants and we got refunded a day . The owners need to invest a little bit of money into this place to bring it up to par .

We are a family of 3 who stayed at the property, along with our dog. Check in was easy, the property was very clean inside and out. It is located on a busy road, but set back a bit. Neighbors were very friendly. Kitchen had all the necessary items and we were thankful we found the fans in the closet, as it was warm. Overall we enjoyed our stay - the house was nice to come back to after spending our days outdoors.

Cabin was super clean and cozy. We loved the location because of the easy access to the bike trails and how close Olympic Village was to eat and shop. We would stay here again.

Very close to Truckee River Trail which is perfect for biking or walking-mostly flat along the River. The cabin was very clean with soft, white towels and the kitchen was very well equipped with almost anything you might need. Chairs next to the River were enjoyable until the mosquitoes arrived. Certainly not in the owners’ control. We enjoyed our stay there.

Although I am VERY pleased that VRBO refunded most of my money and that the rental company was really nice about it, we left as soon as we saw the place so I cant give this place a great review because it was not as advertised. This place would be perfect if you just need a place to crash after a day of skiing, but was not good for a weekend get away. The cabin, while well appointed, sits on the highway, there is no place to sit outside or even anywhere to walk. They say it has "river access" which means you can walk down the property line and stare at the neighbor's nice balconies but you dont get access to any of that. Its basically a mother in law place in back of a nice house that actually is on the river....this cabin is not. Its in a neighborhood where all the roads are driveways, so you can either walk along the busy highway or just sit in a boring cabin with no internet or outdoor space. The internet didnt work so maybe check with them before you go to make sure its all working. Like I said, great for after skiing all day, but dumb if you are just wanting to relax in a beautiful place.

Visited for a final weekend of spring skiing and it couldn't have been better! Super quick drive to Palisades and a one minute walk to the river with a nice grassy space to relax. The property managers were quick to respond when I had a question.
