Locatiom and common areas
I got a single room as I booked it for one person only, and it was a small attic room with a single bed, albeit nice view to the Dom, but a small room. The hotel otherwise has nice spacious rooms as seen in the rest of the photos, but these single sized attic rooms are different.

It felt like a cozy boutique hotel and the breakfast was amazing. The room is basic, comfortable, quiet and clean.
The tub was elevated and we needed to use caution stepping in and out!

It is a lovely, somewhat retro-styled hotel at an excellent location, in a very quiet street in the vicinity of lively areas with a plentitude of restaurants, the Rhein, the Dom, the Railway station, a huge park, etc. Spatious rooms, confortable beds, very clean, fridge, coffee machine, etc. I liked that we could leave the windows open at night and no city-sound was heard. The small light around the magnifying mirror in the bathroom was also a nice surprise.
We had a big family gathering in Cologne, and the hotel staff was very friendly and forthcoming, accomodating us in adjacent nice rooms, thus contributing to the wonderful time we had there.
The breakfast was not suitable for no-meat eaters, so we took breakfast at another place in the vicinity.

Location, staff, room size
We booked a room for 3, so a separate bedroom and a common room. We didnt have any bedding, pillows or blankets for the fold out coach.
The fridge in the room had a broken door and kept slamming extremely loud when it was closed.
The 2nd room there were literally no furniture, it was quite creepy and felt extremely cheap.
