The location is very good, close to the old town, the train and bus station. The room has a good size and very clean. The restaurant at the hotel is very good. The breakfast is good.
The bathtub is very high and has just half door.

The breakfast was delicious with a great choice. I personally like pickles and there was delicious fish and a variety of pickled vegetables. Also the dark rye bread was something I cannot get in the UK, this was so fresh and full of flavour. My partner loved all the fruit.
The staff were so kind and helpful. We arrived quite late on the first night and I could not work out how to turn one set of the lights off. They came up and showed me and did it graciously. Also as we are elderly we both found the shower floor to slippery so they quickly found us a non slip mat so that we could shower without the fear of falling.
The room was great, ample hanging space with hangers, drawers, cubby holes so we could take off our outdoor shoes and put them away without trotting street water and dirt around the place. I loved the fact that we could open the window for fresh air without the rain coming in. So much thought had gone into the positions of everything, the lights, the seating, a place to write. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well. Enough pillows.
The only thing that disappointed me was the state of the floor in the bedroom, from the first night the floor had grit from the street and after cleaning putting out the "please clean the room" the floor was still very dirty. Once I spilt a tiny bit of water and when I mopped it up the paper was black. Everything else, the bedding, bathroom, surfaces were all really clean, the fridge and cups, the toilet - no complaints.

The location was pretty good - not right in the middle of the major sites of Old Town but very close. The breakfast was also ok - they had a decent mix.
The hotel had lost our booking when we arrived even though we had already paid and showed them our confirmation email. It took them 30 minutes to find it. When we got to the room, it was very old looking. The porcelain enamel in the bathtub /shower and in the sink was cracked, and you could see the core underneath. The mattress was also very uncomfortable; I could feel the springs. Finally, the air conditioning barely worked. The first day we got there it felt like it didn't work at all, but there were no rooms available. So, the next day, they said they would bring up a portable air conditioner. They never did, but it seemed to work barely when we got back. It's not clear if they tried to fix it or the room was just cooler because we kept the blackout blinds closed all day.
