If holiday stays with comfortable homes were competing for gold medals, this one would be standing on the podium with a champagne cork popping overhead.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The house was immaculately presented and equipped with absolutely everything we could have wanted. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, stocked with everything needed to create anything from a quick breakfast to a full feast. The BBQ hotplate became our daily companion, while the generous supply of firewood kept the pot belly heater glowing and the evenings wonderfully cosy.
The welcome gifts of wine and chocolates were the perfect touch and immediately made us feel at home. Speaking of comfort, the bed linen was luxurious, and the mattress delivered some of the best sleep we've had in a very long time. Eight uninterrupted hours of bliss? Yes, please!
There was never a dull moment, with plenty of games, streaming services, and internet that was fast enough to keep us connected & happy. Although, truthfully, the biggest entertainment was simply enjoying the surroundings. The peace and quiet was almost deafening .... in the very best possible way. It was the kind of silence that makes you realise how noisy everyday life normally is.
The grounds were beautifully maintained, creating a picture-perfect setting wherever you looked. And the location? Simply outstanding. Close enough to everything you might want to explore, yet tucked away enough to feel like your own private retreat.
Most impressive of all was the way the hosts have managed to create something more than just accommodation. It's clean, welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely feels like a home away from home.
We arrived looking forward to a holiday and left already planning our return. If you're considering booking this property, stop thinking and start booking, you won't regret it.
What we didn't like: Having to leave. Everything else was absolutely perfect.

Very comfortable, with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Quiet rural location but excellent central spot to travel to places across the island.
