About this house rental
Enjoy this spacious home near the peaceful lake in Apple River Canyon. Located in Galena country and Jo Daviess County.
During the warmer summer months, enjoy some fun at the local pool and beach or rent a boat and tour around the private lake.
Enjoy the large living areas indoor & out. Features 2 kitchen areas, 2 decks, rec. room & peaceful views. There are several options for local entertainment perfect for families or group of friends. Just some of the local options - beach, swimming pool, fishing, hunting or just a simple relaxation while taking in all nature has to offer. There's something for all!
This is truly a beautiful home with a lot of space to enjoy making memories with your family and friends. Some local activities to do are fishing, swimming pool, local beach, hunting, hiking trails, tennis/basketball courts, and much more. Apple Canyon Lake is a private lake so you're unable to use your own boat. Boat rental is available but bookings need to be arranged through me. The rental slots fill up fast so the sooner you let me know the better chance of getting a reservation. We are also located only 25 minutes from Galena and all it has to offer.
Relax in the spacious living room with large comfortable leather sectional, a 65" smart TV with Netflix & Prime Video for free.
Master bed includes a new king bed, private bathroom and shower & walk-in closet.
Bedroom 2 has a new queen size bed with beautiful views out to the large nature filled backyard.
Bedroom 3 offers a comfortable trundle bed with a new full size mattress on the top and twin size on bottom.
There is a sleeper sofa along with a 50" smart TV with Netflix and PrimeVideo in the peaceful lower level with a walkout door to the backyard.
The house has been furnished with all new and modern pieces. Equipped with new mattresses, pillows, linens, and towels. Plenty of fresh linens, towels will be provided.
Kitchen is stocked with all your basic needs such as silverware, dishes, coffee maker and a toaster.
If you plan to eat in during your stay, we suggest stopping at one of the grocery stores on your way. There is a Sullivans Foods located in Stockton IL. (20 minute drive)
Free WiFi is included and the TVs are smart which offer Free Netflix, and Prime video.
If you're bringing small children, there is a portable pack n play, and high chair for your use, so you won't need to bring these if you need to save space with your travel gear.
As your hosts, we want you to know that our desire is that you, your family, and friends have as nice of an experience as possible while staying in our home. We pride ourselves on making it as clean and as comfortable we can. We want to make our place a "home away from home" for your vacation.

Family friendly clean home just as advertised. Comfortably slept 8 Could have easily had 2 more there if needed. Quiet street. Game room and outdoor area with the fire pit were great for our visit to the area for a family wedding. We’d stay there again if the need arises.

This house was fantastic for our girls weekend for a bachelorette party. The girls loved the game room. The fire pit was lovely. The rooms had plenty of sleeping space. The kitchen had everything we needed. Utilizing the community pool was easy to use and the girls loved it. The rental provided a great value for what we were looking for. The only downside was the runners in the group were not expecting the hills on the trail system. But we just considered that good training.

Nice property with great accomodations. Drawbacks included the fee schedule, lack of baking pans (muffin tins & 9x13 pan), small kitchen with small microwave & dishwasher, & lateness of stay confirmation which affected some being able to get off work. High points included well stocked bathrooms, game room, nice firepit, 3 bathrooms, 4 comfortable bedrooms.
