It was the perfect stay. It is clear this place was created with a woman’s touch. Every detail is perfect and considered. The materials used are exquisite and natural. Has a light and airy spa vibe. Here’s a rundown of the features I appreciated:
1)Unique and perfect breakfast that included something homemade that was Slovenian and sweet and another savory item, prosciutto and salami, eggs made to order, great bread and jams with butter, fresh fruits and fantastic vegetables that changed daily, perfect tomatoes every morning. Oh, coffee made by the proprietor at the espresso machine and very interesting juices.

3) Stacks of books everywhere including travel books, fiction and interesting non fiction.
4) gorgeous seating areas scattered around
5) perfect bed pillows and linens. Robe and locally made slippers provided. Great toiletries.
6) location was perfect. It was not in the crazy and loud tourist area but a charming two minute walk to the river and just a few more minutes to the hordes of tourists. I couldn’t wait to get back at the end of the day. There are lots of great cafes within a couple minutes walk. The castle is straight up the hill and very walkable within ten minutes. It was very very easy. Walking to the funicular will take longer than walking to the castle.
7) the employees make you feel like family. They learn names quickly and check in with you at breakfast about the previous day.I wanted take them home with me.
8) wine available from the person working nights for a small fee.
9) a very welcoming and communal experience where you meet interesting people and those who want to be alone have the option of separating from other guests.
10) a lighted magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom.
11) windows that open fully into the courtyard and a/c it need it.
The only thing I didn’t like was the rain shower. That’s just me. I know most people like those and there was a hand held to use if you don’t want to wash your hair every day.

We were welcomed very personally despite our late arrival. During our stay, Natasa and her team did everything to make our stay memorable. The property exhibits great design flair. the breakfasts are outstanding

Absolutely everything was wonderful. Everyone was SO kind, it is in an amazing location, the breakfast is otherworldly, and the rooms are big and extremely comfortable. We spent the first leg of our honeymoon here and even as we’ve gone on to new, beautiful areas, we can’t stop talking about our stay here :)
