Tala, the on-site manager, was phenomenal, super friendly, always available. She set me up with once in life time experience of swimming with the wild Dolphins and snorkeling, as well. Nice, sunny, pleasant kitchen area that had everything you needed. Very comfortable bed, and very nice shower. Super close to a spectacular beach with a reserved spot, the beach had a fantastic sand bar that at low tide you could walk or swim and actually sit down at the sand bar and have the little waves roll over you, so cool. Hated to leave, so peaceful.

I booked this trip to Zanzibar the week before leaving from London, and I didn't know I would find another home at Tumbo. I am a solo female traveller, and I never felt so at home while travelling.
The property is just a few minutes from the beach, which has the most amazing sea. Kairo is different from any other part of the island; it's the authentic local African experience that will bring you out of the capitalist, modern life back to a simple, pure life. It's also calmer and less touristy, with a peaceful grounding vibe.
The house has everything you need for a perfect stay; I was travelling while also working from here, and the WIFI at the house allowed me to do so, while I could get a dip in the Indian Ocean between meetings.
It was a true return to the real meaning of life! I booked two weeks initially, but I extended it to two months!
Shout-out to Darling Tala, the property manager, who is always available to help with anything you need.
She is not just the property Manager now, but a real friend! I will always return to my dear Tumbo Villa!

Venlig værtinde, tæt på strand og landsby. Stor hjertelighed, hjælpsomhed og samtidig lidt udenfor al ting. Vidunderlig strand med Ebbe og flod. Dejligt easygoing. Vi kunne fint lave mad selv - med områdets grøntsager.
Ind i mellem gik strømmen, men kom hurtigt igen vha generator. På en måde en del af charmen ved at være lige netop i Kiwengwa (Cairo)
