lovely country hotel retreat with oodles of character.
nice gardens for a relaxing wander
we were in one of the outside rooms which whilst perfect for wheel chair access felt a little cramped

This hotel was amazing, we experienced the grandeur of the building and the grounds it is set in; a friendly, personal welcome; a beautiful room, comfy bed, powerful hot shower, great restaurant; delectable food, wonderful breakfast… all in all, a 5* treat! Highly recommend!

Location and all aspects of the hotel were first class
A vital feature for me when deciding on accommodation is the quality of the breakfast.
Described as a Buffet Breakfast, that could describe both cooked and continental.
Unfortunately for me my preference of a cooked meal never materialised.
However, the alternative was excellent.
Lesson for the future, enquire before booking.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing. The bed was uncomfortable. There were tablets all over the floor and under the bed. The noise of the staff setting up for breakfeast and chatting in the laundry room woke me up before 6am which i was not happy about
