Great location. Free all day parking was literally a block or two away.
Wifi went out. Luckily we had plenty of data and were out most of the time. They were very attentive toward this issue. No idea if it was fixed because we went out. Guessing it was.

There are a lot of downsides to this apartment, read the full reviews because Booking seems to hide the negative stuff at the end. The pros to the Sunny Reykjavik apartment is the location that is close to the center but also close to the bus station. If you arrive by car, this segment of the street is paid parking during the working days, but a block away there are free parking segments. We liked that the place could be aired well with windows on both sides and the bed was ok. The host was responsive and communicative, but they should fix the apartment and welcome guests with some more paper towels, toilet paper, detergent and similar small stuff that makes life during travel easier.
The photos seem AI enhanced, because they do not reflect reality. The apartment is moldy and rundown, there is black mold on the walls, the ceiling and everywhere around the broken tiles in the bathroom. The shower seemed so wobbly i was afraid it will fall of the wall. The floor is in bad condition and difficult to clean which makes the entire impression even more stained. The couch is horrible and needs to be replaced with something faux leather from Ikea that is easy to clean, this way it looks terrible stained. The washing machine was initially the selling point why we booked this since travelling with kids means regular laundry, but we did not use it since it smelled horribly. The host should get rid off it instead of this false advertising, and simply install a dishwasher in its place - it would be more usable.
