Clean and comfortable. Well stocked community kitchen. Beautiful dining area.
I was not aware that I’d have to go up and over a steep mountain to arrive there, and to leave Seydisfjordur. It was a little harrowing, mostly because it was unexpected, getting dark, and foggy on top.

The guy running the place was super friendly (didn't catch his name, but he's from the south of India) and was cool with us hanging around the common room after checkout whilst waiting for the ferry check in. The kitchen was really well equipped, and the common area was very cozy and there was a friendly vibe to the whole place.
The only downside was our room being next to the laundry room. There were signs telling people not to use it after 10pm, but some people ignore those, and wash and dry clothes late at night, with the noise and vibration then coming through the wall.

It was in a good location
We were two elderly guests with heavy bags. We had expected there would be some transport available to take us to the ferry terminal. There were no taxis and no buses.
