Location was great, large room, good size beds. Host was very helpful and accommodating.
Strong smell of paint/varnish, (possibly from the headboard being freshened up) ended up with a headache. Digs baking close by in the night and 6am the next morning waking everyone up.. No toilet paper left with 3 people using the room.

Great situation for a visit to Edinburgh. spacious property, good amount of storage, very well equipped, good shower, towels supplied and clean. No parking available but secure parking within ten mins on foot.
Hosts were excellent and helpful.
My personal preference is a firm bed, this bed is like a cloud :) property could perhaps go with a mid range bed. This is not a complaint, only a suggestion ...

WiFi was excellent, beds were super-comfortable, nice shower, plenty of plug sockets, mugs+kettle+tea/coffee, helpful text received from host with key information. Within easy walk of Edinburgh city centre (5 mins to shops, 20 mins to the edge of the city centre, 30 mins to the middle of the city centre). The street was pleasant and not noisy.
The property didn't have a fridge. And to be fair, the description didn't claim to have one, but we hadn't twigged that, and it was more of an inconvenience than we had thought.
The property wasn't in a great state of repair, but was clearly mid-way through a spruce-up. Our room had been recently painted, and possibly was mid-way through repair-works, but we had a wardrobe we couldn't use because it was full of pictures, a bathroom slide-lock with a missing knob to open/close it, 2 of the 4 bathroom lights were out, there several screws decoratively laid about in the drawers/wardrobe/on the floor, and the fresh paint covered not only the walls, but also there was a decent amount of paint on the plug sockets, window, etc.
There were people carrying out works to another room, so the state of repair was possibly work-in-progress (we think they'd painted our room the day before we arrived, so maybe if they had left it to dry, they therefore hadn't finished other repairs in our room).
The positives from the comfy beds and good WiFi outweighed the state of repair.
