About this house rental
Perched at the crest of a hill overlooking the Atlantic, Dragonfly has unparalleled ocean views. Looking north over the rooftops of town, the vista is unfettered from the nearby Spring House Hotel all the way to Mansion Beach and Jerry’s Point.
This historic house is a gem and underwent a complete renovation in anticipation of the 2024 summer season. The house has central A/C and sleeps a maximum of eight people(including children).
The main entry leads from a sunlit mudroom to an open plan kitchen, dining and living room complete with a gas fireplace and bar. The kitchen, with a built in dining nook, is fully appointed and features high quality appliances (including an induction cooktop) and cookware to satisfy the most discerning cook. Additional kitchen amenities include a wine bar and an espresso machine.
The house has been redesigned with both comfort and function in mind and the finishes have been chosen for elegance and durability. In addition to the kitchen, dining and living areas, a spacious queen bedroom and full bath (opening onto its own walled garden) and a laundry center are also located on the main floor. Each window offers a stunning island view.
On the second floor the king master suite, en suite bath and changing area provide a luxurious private retreat. The second floor also houses two additional bedrooms-one with a set of twin beds and the other with a queen bed. These bedrooms share a hall bath with a tub and shower. All bedding and bath and beach towels are included in your rental.
A porch wraps around two sides of the house and takes full advantage of the splendid vistas. Comfortable out door furniture along with a propane grill make outdoor dining simple and enjoyable. An outdoor shower surrounded by lush plantings completes the picture.

We are 3 retired couples who visit Block Island every September. Normally we stay at a hotel or inn since our September visits are usually for less than a week. This year we decided to rent a large comfortable house. We were not disappointed. The house is very well cared for with plenty of room for all six. It was especially nice to have a first floor bedroom as one couple prefers the first floor. Our host Jennifer met us the day of our arrival and was very helpful with any follow up questions. The house location is excellent, private but close to the beaches, restaurants and shopping (get those gifts for the grandkids). We'll definitely keep Dragonfly on our list for future rental.Bill Lyons

Our family has been coming to Block Island for 40 years and this stay was by far the very best of all. Pictures of the home simply do not do it justice. The home is far more beautiful than any picture could capture and the view is magazine worthy. When we first entered the house which was spotless clean, we all had the same reaction, WOW! The grounds with all the gardens are meticulous and the views from the wrap around huge deck deck are breathtaking. The property manager was extremely nice. A must stay,hope we can stay there again next summer!

This house was incredible and I will definitely book again next year. Clean, brand new, great location, gorgeous view of the ocean. And many small extras :-) I highly recommend.
