Important things to know when planning a trip to Exuma:
- Renting a car is highly recommended. Almost all of our guests rent cars for the duration of their stay and it is the best and easiest way to explore the island. Additionally, Exuma is unlike other islands - golf carts are not a typical form of transport on the main roads.
- Protect yourself from the unpredictable. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip that protects against any unexpected travel disruptions or delays. We’d be happy to recommend specific providers.
- Thinking of a boat rental? Boat rentals on Exuma are typically daily rentals only (no overnights). Therefore, it may not be necessary to pick your house based on the presence of a dock. If you’re bringing your own boat and your property doesn’t have a dock, please identify your closest Marina (provided above).
- Thinking about a private chef? On Exuma - regardless of where you stay - most private chefs charge about $50–$100 per person, per meal on average. This usually includes the cost of groceries and a full menu (for example, a starter, main, and dessert, or a larger spread for breakfast or lunch). Keep in mind, this is just a general guideline for budgeting. Final pricing depends on: group size, menu requests, cost of food, and style of service. We always recommend sharing your preferences directly with the chef to receive an accurate quote tailored to your needs.
- Plan ahead: Restaurant reservations are recommended for peak seasons, particularly for large groups!

Gorgeous new home. Perfect for parties of 6 or more. Each corner of the house has a bedroom so everyone has their own space and privacy. Close to airport and close to Georgetown where you will do your shopping. Also easy to grab a water taxi to other islands.

There are 2 kinds of properties that you want to find the right words for... the bad ones and the good ones. We've stayed at many homes in our 10 years of journeys to the Caribbean and THIS property was BY FAR the NICEST home we've ever rented. We only rent VRBO homes - no resorts or hotels. This was like staying at our very own private resort. There were only 4 of us and the home is set up for 6 more. Each bedroom complete with its own ensuite. From the time you open the front door, every (good) expletive that you can think of began dropping from our mouths - when we were able to bring our jaws back into place. If you're used to bigger spaces and American kitchens, this is the house. The kitchen had every utensil and every spice you will need. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the beds were easy to fall asleep in. The attached baths were first class - all with toilets separated by a door! (go ahead, laugh!) Outside, we took advantage of the grill that had one propane tank and a spare - just in case! The pool was beautiful and the deck furniture was first class. The ocean was just a few steps away and the waves were easily safe for kids. Ok - one thing I'd do to finish the home would be to put in a solar pool heater. That'll make the pool super nice on those Jan, Feb days when the ocean is too cold. In closing, this is as perfect as you'll find!The host communicated very well for our trip, both before and during.
