The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which was the great thing about this hostel. They really made a hugely positive difference to my stay and meant I was able to visit Nukus and Moynaq, which I hadn't expected to be able to do in the time I had. Lots of tours/ private transport options on offer that could be booked even just the day before. Location is great, just outside of Ichon Qala and shops and restaurants are within a short walking distance. Good communal space for hanging out and chatting with other backpackers
Breakfast was poor compared with those provided by other hostels/guesthouses in Uzbekistan and private room had no window (though I was only in it to sleep so wasn't a huge deal)

My stay at this establishment left me with deeply contrasting impressions.
To begin with the merits,the proprietor is an exceptionally kind,smiley,sweet,courteous and professional host who ensures every guest feels genuinely welcomed and valued.
The hostel itself offers a charming atmosphere,complemented by a delightfully laid-back ambience and spacious,a fantastic traditional Uzbek style seating areas ideal for relaxation.
Furthermore,the inclusive breakfast was of an admirable standard and the adjacent restaurant provides highly commendable meals.
The communal and en-suite bathrooms were also found to be impeccably maintained.
Regrettably,several severe shortcomings significantly compromised my comfort. The external environment is plagued by relentless and disruptive street traffic,which severely detracts from the peace of the outdoor seating area. Far more concerning,however,was the condition of the four bed dormitory.
The complete absence of both windows and air conditioning rendered the atmosphere stifling,exacerbated by a pervasive and highly objectionable odour of dampness and mold.
While a large fan is provided,its excessive noise makes restful sleep virtually impossible for anyone sensitive to sound.
Most distressingly,the standard of hygiene regarding the bedding was bad.
The sheets were visibly stained and contained a considerable amount of hair,strongly indicating they had not been laundered or changed,prior to my arrival.
Whilst we immensely appreciated the host’s hospitality,a rigorous overhaul of room ventilation and basic housekeeping standards is imperative if this property is to meet a respectable standard of accommodation.
Overall it was a nice stay.

It was close to all amenities e.g. walking distance.
The restaurant was open all day & one could grab a meal at any time.
Staff were helpful.
As always most hostels never keep their washrooms clean......the toilets & showers. The washroom was inside the female room with no ventilation & the water pressure was unpredictable. It got cold or hot suddenly & needed adjusting. The toilet area isn't clean at all.
