This was our second stay at Mill St Inn. We stayed last year during the wedding of our dear friend's daughter on Little Goat Island. We had such an exceptional time we wanted to return for a no plan couples getaway. The location is amazing with so much shopping and dining within a very short walk. It's truly staying in the beating heart of the city.
There are a few styles of rooms to fit your needs. Even though the off street parking is limited, it still outshine the vast majority of boutique style hotels in the area with no parking at all. The roof top deck provides great views to the harbor.
Pur main issues not giving the highest ratings are the property is due for a refresh. Its far from run down but it could use a general spruce up. The other issue is that, unlike last year,the noise levels were more than we are used to. Granted our neighbors were extremely inconsiderate oafs that ,despite management attempts to quiet,proceeded to clomp around their suite as if elephants in heat. The noise levels in the hallway with room doors shutting were definitely higher then we like as well.
There were an inordinate amount of visitors in the city this weekend so I suppose that colored our impressions this stay. We would consider staying again especially if the property undergoes a refresh soon.

I took my sister to the property for her 60th birthday and it couldn't have been nicer! From the super friendly, helpful staff to the spacious, well-appointed rooms, it was truly fabulous! The location is right off the main thoroughfare so it was quiet be easily accessible to Bowen's Wharf. The boxes complimentary continental breakfast delivered right to our rooms was a treat! We ate it on the rooftop which was lovely - it had a great view of the town. And to top everything off, the inn had a free parking lot. I would absolutely return!!

The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Daily breakfast was a lovely touch and we enjoyed it on the roof deck, as well as the sangria or cucumber water in the afternoons. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore both the tourist areas and the more quiet local spots. The room was lovely, very clean and well maintained. Bedding was comfortable and the seating area was very cute. We loved this place and will certainly go back!

We had an amazing stay at the Mill Street Inn. Couldn’t ask for a better location: just a quick walk down to the harbor and, in the opposite direction, the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A delicious, healthy breakfast is delivered to your room every morning, and the hotel provides other nice perks like complimentary sangria and access to the rooftop with beautiful views of Newport. The on-site parking was also a huge benefit. We will definitely be back!
