The Renaissance Hotel is within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Upon our arrival to the hotel we were greeted with a warm and welcoming staff. We arrived earlier than the normal check in time, so the hotel stored our luggage as we ventured out to explore Barcelona. Within an hour we were notified that our room was ready. The room, although small, offered everything needed to enjoy a pleasant stay. The rooftop bar offered beautiful views of Barcelona including the Basílica de la Sagrada Família.

They would not allow me to check in earlier at 1pm after 19 hr flight travel. I have mentioned my Platinum member and would not entertain since room was not ready. They would not upgrade which usually they do in the past being Platinum member. It was a lady receptionist up front that assisted us and would not help.
Anyway I’m so dissapointed but the stay was okay.
