Great little motel/hotel. watching seals in the river from the balcony is pretty cool. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

This is our third year in a row staying here for July 4th. Rooms are excellent. View of the river is spectacular from room. Fish will be jumping at dusk. Helens and Mason Brew Pub a short walk away. Rooms are recently updated and are beautiful. Great rear outside sitting area with fireplace to hang out at next to the river which is quiet on a large lawn area.

looks unassuming from the outside but inside the newly renovated rooms were like staying at a 4 star hotel. Very clean, comfy, and amazing view of the Machias river. Only downside is if you are on second floor you have to haul your luggage up and down the stairs.

We loved this place, not least because our River View room gave us a beautiful outlook. We even saw a seal swimming past. The two beds were big and comfy, the room had been renovated and a real person on reception made a nice change. I strongly recommend this place.
