Fondavela Hotel exceeded all expectations: the rooms/facilities are designed to promote comfort and tranquility, the location is ideal for accessing Monteverde cloud forest, the food was EXCELLENT, and the staff were outstanding! I hope to return again on my next visit to Costa Rica. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

The property has no air conditioning! Yes if we cranked a window would be perfect but the window had no protection from any wild life! No net nothing

This hotel is beautiful. We travelled with our grandson so needed a room with two beds and our room was so large we had plenty of space for luggage. The grounds are landscaped with gorgeous flowers. The staff at reception and the restaurants could not be more helpful and accommodating. They kindly rushed a laundry order for us and offered an upgrade. The breakfast menu was fabulous! It was a quiet and peaceful stay very close to the reserve. We would love to return again!
