Really good food. friendly staff - On walking though the door there was friendly face welcoming us - and making sure we were check in and booked for meals etc
occasional music noise from the downstairs bar
it seemed a little cramped at breakfast time - but good food

It is really a hikers hostelry. Perfect for that and the local pub. As a comfortable hotel it misses the mark.
The breakfast was astoundingly poor. It wasn’t fair to call it breakfast. A small plate with 8 bits of salami, likewise of cheese (replenished as a when two slices were removed they were replaced). A small bowl of pineapple chunks. There was toast, some cereals and some yoghurts. All this on a metre square table. Tea and coffe was dispensed by a nice lady.
