Lovely comfortable rooms. We booked all 3 for a family that we were attending locally.
We were made so welcome and felt very at home. Nothing was too much trouble. The service was exceptionally tailored and friendly,. The dogs loved it 👍🏻

Great welcome and atmosphere. Very friendly pub. Room was very clean and well appointed. It wasn't the biggest but the place has been there since the 14th century. They were smaller then!

Pub in a convenient location and plenty of parking. Room nicely presented and basic toiletries provided. Nice coffee bags, tea bags and milk replenished daily. Owners friendly.
It was disappointing to find that although breakfast was included according to Booking.com you had to pay if you wanted anything cooked and the selection was otherwise limited. This needs to be made clear at the booking stage. Some of the pub seating is really stained which is a bit off-putting. Whilst room was serviced daily biscuits were only provided on day one which seemed a bit mean! We stayed during hot weather and so unfortunately it was really noisy with the traffic passing directly outside the open windows. And given the heat maybe a sheet could be provided as an alternative to a duvet. Maybe more pillows too - though maybe we could have had extra had we asked.
