The entire property was charming. Posh with added amenities like heated floors and luxury bedding. We ate in the dining room the day the fall menu launched and everything was absolutely delicious. The wine cellar also had a very good selection and we enjoyed a beautiful bold red.
We had some fun conversation with our server upon our arrival and ordering. Our food and bottle came in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, the owner and director of ops decided to drop in and check out the menu launch too....their presence in the dining room created a bit of a distraction for the staff...lots of attention from everyone during their meal and we were not revisited until the check was dropped off.

The location on the water was superb. The service provided by all staff was excellent . The room was clean.
For a 5 star hotel, the following were shortcomings : no soap in the toilet room, instant coffee in the room, paint peeling on exterior walls, laundry in hallway 24 hours, all food facilities closed until 5 pm even though check in was at 3:00. Restaurant had limited choice of dinner mains other than beef

bathroom and shower room floors were strangely slippery, baseboards in toilet room need to be cleaned properly
