We really enjoyed this property overall. The house was clean, comfortable, and very nice in general, and it worked well for our group. The host was extremely gracious and accommodating. She allowed us to check in about three hours early, and when we arrived even earlier than that, the property was already ready for us. Communication was responsive throughout the stay, and when issues came up, the host did make efforts to address them quickly. The location was also convenient, and overall the property itself felt welcoming and enjoyable.
The only major issue was with the bathrooms and showers, which created significant problems for our group. We booked the property specifically because it had two full bathrooms for four people, including one person in our group who needed access to a bathtub.
On the third floor ensuite bathroom, the shower had extremely poor water pressure and the water temperature constantly shifted between warm and ice cold every few minutes, making it very difficult to shower comfortably. On the second floor bathroom, the bathtub worked properly, but once the water was switched to the shower, it became either scalding hot or freezing cold with no stable middle temperature.
To the host’s credit, they responded quickly and had someone come out the next day. A plumber spent several hours working on the second floor bathroom and eventually repaired it, although we were then unable to use it for several more hours because of materials that needed to set. Unfortunately, the third floor shower issue was never resolved during our stay. The plumber was also somewhat frustrating to deal with and ultimately left without fixing the upstairs shower.
Because of these issues, all four guests ended up sharing one usable bathroom for much of the trip, which caused delays and disrupted our schedule, especially since we had early mornings planned. One member of our group was not even able to use the bath on the final night because everything ran so late. While the host was responsive and tried to help, the bathroom problems definitely impacted the experience.
