The location is excellent. Right on The Market Square so central for everything.
We liked everything about this property and the staff.
From the outside it’s a lovely tradition local pub. Inside both staff and locals are friendly and helpful.
Every morning we received a text from Jon asking if we were ok and did we need anything. The answer was ‘no’ as everything was provided with regard to toiletries, spare toilet rolls, extra towels and bedding.
Our room was massive! A lovely view of the market place and castle. It was so comfy with a super king bed, lovely mattress, linen and pillows.
The en suit was clean, plenty of hot water, a shower plus a lovely deep bath for soaking in 🤗
We also had a sofa and tv which to be honest we weren’t expecting. So that was a bonus.

Brilliant staff. Free parking with a disc they provide on the square. Great value and nice powerful shower! The 10 per cent off for drinks makes a good pub the best pub! Sky sports given my team were playing was also spot on!
The room windows were open on arrival so it was a bit cold but the heating was good so no problem.
