This hotel is DIRECTLY on the beach! They have beach towls they let you borrow and everything is very clean. It is a minimalist hotel design and you do get a basic hotel room. The cleaners do a great job, the bed were comfortable and the location is unmatched. In addition to being right on the beach, you are right in the middle of Santa Cruz with lots of restraunts and shops within walking distance.
The showers were built in a way that the water can flow all over the place. We had to use the floor mat as a barrier to make sure that water didn't get all over the bathroom.
