The location was amazing! And as I have food intolerances, it was great that there was a fridge in the room. Also, I want to give a shout-out to the absolutely wonderful Empress Indian Restaurant on the ground floor of the building. Most delicious takeaway ever.
There were 2 decent kitchens but no equipment I could use to prepare food. The cupboards in there were all stuffed full of bedding and supplies for the rooms. I would have loved a couple of saucepans, and a teapot and cafetière. I can't stay in hotels because of my food intolerances which is why I always book self-catering so this was a bit disappointing. The view out of my tiny window, of a roof strewn with rubbish actually made me laugh but not everyone would like it!

Clean, tidy and loads of equipment if needed. Good location, plenty of places to eat.
Hard to find at first. For future reference it’s a little door right next to the Indian restaurant.

The location was great and just a 15-20min walk to the heart of London City. The room was clean and had a private bathroom, which is rare at this price. There was also a shared kitchen which seemed well-equipped but I didn't use it.
The room is really small, so not ideal for longer stays. Rooms are next to each other and walls are thin so noise isolation is subpar. The street is rather busy at night as well so noise is coming from the outside as well.

This was exactly what I needed for my trip. The location is close to the Tower of London, as well as the Tube. It had a bed, private bathroom, rotating fan, television, and even a refrigerator. The check-in was incredibly easy. The front door has a code, and then the key is in your room. Easy-peasy. There is also a communal kitchen area with a microwave, instant coffee, a kettle, and some dishware you can use. There are also free bottles of water and a few small snacks in the kitchen for your tea/coffee.
I won't lie, the building is very run-down, as are the rooms. Leaks have been fixed with spray foam adhesive; the building has very clear wear and tear and damage. Some things are taped together. I also saw some signs of mold on the window curtains. I have a mold allergy, and my allergies acted up during my stay, so I do think they have an underlying mold issue. Lastly, it can be very loud at night outside, especially on the weekends.
