The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were functional for what we needed. Nothing elaborate. We liked them because we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning. We needed a comfortable space to sleep, and that is exactly what we got.

Last minute booking able to accommodate us. Good location close enough to walk to food and town.
Definitely a room not used much out the back musty smell in corridor, couldn’t smell in room, no view, overlooking overgrown derelict area.

It was opposite Promenade,
Was not particularly easy to find as was not called Guest Lodge. The receptionist on duty needs a course in customer care. Huffing on phone when i phoned for help to get into room. The instructions to enter the accommodation needs updating as instructions on doors differ as to how to get in. Breakfast a disaster, plates on counter all dirty, gave up looking after the 4th one had left overs on. One of the waitresses took 2 slices of bread to carry through to kitchen, NO tongs used, no gloves, straight on to her hand. I left at this point because I could not take the risk of a cooked breakfast arriving on a dirty plate or items touched by her bare hands. I never complain unless absolutely necessary so its unfortunate this has happened on this visit. Cups in room, 1 was dirty as were the glasses .
