I had a great stay! Close to the beach, all the amenities I needed, and the yard was perfect for hanging out with my dog. Host was responsive and helpful, the place was clean, and I was very comfortable. Worth noting there is no oven, which isn’t a big deal but if you’re grocery shopping for your stay just plan accordingly.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this beach house and found it to be a good value for the location. The house was clean upon arrival, and being so close to the beach was definitely the highlight of our trip. There is so much nearby which made things super convenient. For the price, it offered a lot of convenience and easy access to everything Ocean Beach has to offer.That said, there were several maintenance and comfort issues that should be addressed. The backyard was covered with spider webs, making it less enjoyable to use. We also had to climb onto a chair just to reach the switch for the outdoor lights, which felt unsafe and inconvenient. The air conditioning worked well in the bedroom, but the rest of the house remained noticeably warm.Inside, the sofa cushions were worn and falling apart, and there was a significant amount of dust underneath both the couch and the bed, suggesting those areas had not been cleaned in quite some time.One other concern was the mention in the house book about being courteous to the tenants in the back unit. We were respectful throughout our stay, but unfortunately did not receive the same courtesy in return, which impacted our overall experience.Despite these issues, the location, cleanliness of the main living areas, and affordability were strong positives. With a few maintenance improvements and better attention to shared-space expectations, this property could provide a much better guest experience.
