Charming wooden beamed cottage had loads of character. The floors were uneven and the low ceiling height downstairs added to the character. Climbing the stairs to the upstairs bedroom was fun - small steps and a typically period small door frame made the transition up/downstairs interesting.
The bed was super comfortable and the duvet and pillows were soft down and high quality.
All communication prior to arrival was clear. Friendly host (Emma).
Breakfast offering was a little disappointing. Continental in style with fresh fruit, yogurt and croissants. That was fine and the quality was good. However, there was a small selection of packet serials, only one small jar of granola and no bread for toast.

The owner was great. Very friendly and accommodating
We did not know what to expect but it is an old cottage with characteristic smell and a bit clattered. But overall we had a good night sleep and the bed was comfortable.
